I'm secondary in your life
The person you remember when you get bored
The idea that I'll always be waiting at the door
You won't talk to me, your friends all look at me
with pity and sympathy, I look so sad to them
Cause it seems I crave your attention
Even though you are the one who still pushes yourself into my life
You forced yourself into my cage
Then leave when the awkward silence hits
Your misleading smile is the most annoying thing still replaying in my head
I'm jealous and angry that I'm jealous
The depth of our friendship hasn't even passed the surface
The guilt I feel when you are not with your primary lover kills me
Well I guess being secondary has its pros too
You remember me when they can't give you what you want
You kiss me when they don't feel like
I'm the one you call when your bed is cold
I'm the one you need when your papers are due
Never thought my life would be so exciting
I'll enjoy it for as long as it lasts
