Calm down, let's talk for a sec.
You said you didn't love me the last time we met,
Yet everyday you send a text.
You call me, you cry, you laugh - I can't process.
If you gave us a chance, you'll probably see
The distant future that could be.
But no, you're so stubborn and proud,
Fighting with your own feelings, with fear and fright.
Pushing me away, then drawing me back to your light.
You can't fathom the love that you have;
You can't leave the hurt behind -
It follows you like a shadow,
It creeps down below.
But I assure you, I would give you peace,
The one that encompasses everything you need.
