The red to my blue
You never tried the things I told you to do
The lie to your truth
Our ideas are so different but new
We tried our best to hide this fact
We never liked the same things and things went south
Meet different people and found the one
Yet we still want to make this work
My timing was faster, your pacing was slow
Our dances ended with us on the dance floor
Staring at the dull ceiling, imagining stars that don't exist
Fighting for a love that shouldn't persist
We want different things at different times
Fought back the people wanting to keep us apart
The only thing we agree on is that we should be together
And maybe that's the sign for this charade to end
