My Tough Mudder Memoire 2013

The dreaded monkey bars. I have good upper body strength and yet still cannot due a chin up. My grip is fantastic despite the small size of my hands. I have been climbing around metal bars to make sure that I could do this, so I felt prepared.

I made it 2 bars out before I got a massive handful of super slick, muddy bar and into the water I went.

Neither of the boys made it across either. It's one thing to climb on monkey bars. It's another thing to do that with mud covered bars. Next year I think I'll go t  a kids park, cover the monkey bars in muck and try to practice it myself.

Although the water I swam in after I fell felt rather great.
