The second time I got to do the obstacle I found the most fun.
I scrambled through this mud and water like I was born to do this sort of thing. I was wearing the toe shoes, like Vibrams but made from Fila. I think this really helped with me climbed up the mud and rocky banks.
My brother is ponderously slow for these as he is terrified of falling and a little useless at climbing and my fiancé had the same problems as before. He simply couldn't pull himself up.
Another thing that helps in this times? Yoga. I'm more flexible than people suspect thanks to yoga, and this meant I could get my legs up higher to get to where foot hold were. Rock climbing is ALSO a key way to practice for this.
