SCENE II. Lucius Malfoy's garden

Enter HARRY

HARRY

I'm an idiot to think that I'll find him

I must have dodged five guards already.

But I must find him. I must follow my heart.

Now which is his window?

DRACO appears above at a window. HARRY speaks to himself.

But, ho! There's light through yonder window?

It is the east, and Draco is the sun.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,

But he looks already sick and pale with grief,

He must know the truth... more woe to me

And I was a fool to wear my love on my sleeve.

He is my love, O, he is my heart!

O, that he knows my pursuit of him!

But he speaks yet says nothing: what of that?

His eyes show his distress; I will answer it.

I am too bold, 'tis not to me he speaks:

His eyes are the fairest stars in all the heaven,

And twinkle in their spheres till they return.

The brightness of his hair would shame those stars,

As daylight doth a lamp; his eyes in heaven

Would through the airy region stream so bright

That birds would sing and think it were not night.

Oh... I am hooked. He is beautiful! An Adonis!

I care not that he is a muggle,

Nor that our fathers hate each other.

Love conquers all.

I know that with all my soul.

O, that if I were up there with him,

That I might touch that gorgeous hair!

DRACO

Ay me!

HARRY

[Aside] He speaks:

O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art,

Worth tempting death to even see you!

DRACO

O Harry, Harry! why art thou a Potter?

Will you deny thy father and refuse thy magic;

If thou wilt not, be that you are my sworn love,

then I'll no longer be a Malfoy.

HARRY

[Aside] Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?

DRACO

'Tis but thy name that is my enemy, a wizard;

Thou art not just any wizard, but a Potter.
