Part 36

Present time

Satya was ready with his team to launch a raid as per the information provided by Sai.

"Mohit, all teams ready?" Satya asked.

"Yes, sir. As you said I have made 10 more teams besides our team." Mohit answered.

Ajinkya couldn't hold his curiosity back. "Sir, Lekin hume exact location pata hai toh phir aapne ye 10 teams aur kyu banwayi hain?"

Karishma also asked almost the same question. "Yes, sir, mujhe bhi ye baat kuch samajh nahi aayi. Humne itne sare teams banaye and why they will be raiding other hotels of that area and not join us in our raid on Omi bhau's hotel 'Golden gate' where the deal is going to take place. Thats the exact place Sai had informed to us, right?"

"You guys try to understand. We have already lost Pakhi, now we cant risk Sai's life. We cant make it obvious that we had information of this deal beforehand. So, I have made this plan that our teams will raid all the hotels in that area to make it look like it was a general routine checkup. That's why in golden gate also, first we will only send 5 member team inside, rest will cover the hotel from outside. I know its dangerous but that's the only way it would look like a mere coincidence." Satya explained.

"I am telling you Omi bhau , these drugs will earn you thousand crores of rupees. I don't know why you are skeptical to buy these?" Nicolas the drug dealer from Columbia, who had brought his newly laboratory made drugs tried to convince.

"I don't doubt your business sense, Nicolas but the environment here is not right to indulge in new business. Already, police is on alert and raiding my liquor contract shops and that Virat Chavan is proving to be a pain in the a**." Omi replied.

Nicolas rolled his eyes at Omi after hearing the same rant from him third time. "Don't mind, but that guy Virat Chavan was 100 times better than you when it came to taking risk. He had guts." Nicholas taunted Omi.

"Thank you, Nicholas...thanks for praising me. Tum bahar wale hokar samajh gaye ki Virat Chavan kya cheez hai aur ye Omi local hokar bhi nahi samajh paya." Virat said as he made entry in the room shocking everyone.

"What are you doing here?" Omi hissed in anger.

"You threw a party and didn't invite me. I thought we were friends. So, I invited myself." Virat laughed.

"You already caused a lot of damage to my business. If you did anything now then it wont be nice. Chupchap yaha se chale jao." Omi threatened.

"Oh else? What will you do?" Virat dared him.

"Main aaj tumhe zinda nahi chhodunga." Omi said taking out his gun and pointing it at Virat.

"Last time I checked, you were too coward to attack me on your own so you took help of Patnaik and the rest of the idiots. Then when you failed you all called for a peace treaty through Bhawani kaku, how heroic." Virat mocked him.

"Yes and after that....did you forget, how we had attacked that precious girl friend of yours. I heard she was expecting and had a miscarriage....tsk tsk....great loss to you." Omi smirked at Virat. Virat clenched his fist in anger listening to this.

Omi noticed this and continued insulting him more. "And you call us idiot! Greatest idiot is you. Have ever thought how we managed to reach your precious girlfriend?" Omi smirked at him.

Virat couldn't bear the reminder of one of the most painful moment of his life. "You don't get to take Sai's name from your filthy mouth or else I will kill you in a way you cant even imagine." Virat held his collar.

"What are you waiting for Virat? Kill him, get it done with." Jagtap said as soon as he entered there with his men.

Virat pointed his gun at Omi. The situation was tense, all the people present there were pointing guns at each other, it was just a matter of time when the shooting begins. Just then the door of the room burst open the second time and now Satya also arrived with his team.

"Hands up everyone, nobody will move." Satya said, joining them, baring more guns in the room.

Everyone was shocked how come police arrived here. How they got the information?

Virat looked at Jagtap and gestured him to look at the nearby table. Jagtap saw and found open packets of powdered drug. Jagtap nodded at him, understanding Virat's plan.

"Call for additional force." Satya ordered Mohit.

"Don't bother officer, kill me right here or you wont get chance ever." Virat tried to engage him in conversation to distract Satya and Mohit.

"Probably, we don't want to kill you... yet." Mohit couldn't help but reply to outsmart him.

Virat frowned at Mohit for what he said. Satya realized Mohit's words caught Virat's attention. He didn't want to make Virat suspicious, his suspicion will put Sai's life at risk. He tried to divert the topic. "Shut up, Mohit. No need to indulge in conversation with him. Just do as I say." He ordered again.

Meanwhile Jagtap took advantage of the situation as he saw everyone was busy talking and he grabbed the open packets of drugs and threw it in the air. Everybody started coughing and closed their eyes. In panic, Omi opened fire aimlessly which resulted in killing one police officer. Satya, with difficulty managed to aim his gun at Omi bhau and shot him dead. Nicolas tried to run from there but Mohit held him captive. Taking advantage of the situation, Virat and Jagtap managed to escape from there between all the chaos, killing as much men of Omi as possible and also taking the drugs packets brought by Nicholas.

Virat and Jagtap were on their way to the house. "Even though I wanted to kill that b*stard Omi bhau with my own hands but I am glad that officer did that job." Virat expressed his anger.

Jagtap remained silent, lost in his thoughts. "What are you thinking?" Virat inquired.

"I cant forget those words....they seemed to be very fishy...like something is wrong and I cant put my finger on it." Jagtap replied.

"Ya, I know. Even I am thinking about it. That Omi bhau, before police arrived he said something like...have you ever wondered how we manage to reach your girlfriend....he was talking about that attack on Sai when we lost our baby, right?" Virat asked.

His doubt caught Jagtap's attention for a while. "Oh, forget about that a** hole. He may be bragging about his capabilities. Its not that important. I was thinking something else." Jagtap brushed off Virat's doubt.

"Toh phir tum kya soch rahe the?" Virat asked again.

"I was thinking about that young inspector. He said probably they didn't want to kill you yet. And you noticed his senior officer's expressions. He asked him to shut up. The senior officer was that same officer who was with Pakhi in that pic, remember? Something is wrong, definitely wrong. And how come on earth they again gate crashed the meeting that was supposed to be a secret?" Jagtap expressed his doubts.

"Didn't you hear, when we reached outside that there was routine check up in every hotel of that area. And they were only 5 of them who raided us. If they had information then they would have come prepared like that previous raids. I think its just a coincidence." Virat reasoned.

"I don't know. I still feel they are getting our secret information."Jagtap concluded.

"But you only said that there can be no secret communication device used in the mansion anymore after you installed signal jammer and tracker." Virat asked.

"Ya, I know...I don't understand how information is being passed but....Virat...you are not going to like what I am about to say but please use your brain....I think....mera shak sahi hai. Sai is involved in all this." Jagtap uttered somehow gathering up his courage.

"Yaar, Jaggu, tu phir galat track par ja raha hai. Ek toh isme Sai ka koi lena dena nahi hai. Dusra mujhe to us inspector ki baat se jyada us Omi bhau ki baat ajeeb lagi. Mere dimag mein to wahi baat ghum rahi hai." Virat shared his views.

"Galat track par main nahi tu ja raha hai Viru. Omi bhau toh khiska hua tha, kuch bhi bol sakta hai wo tashan dikhane ke liye. Asli mudde ki baat to us inspector ne hi boli thi. Mujhe lagta hai jarur koi bahut badi planning ki hai unhone. Unhe pakka is meeting ki information thi aur tu mane ya na mane...mujhe toh isme Sai ka involvement pakka lagta hai. Ab aur kaun bacha hai hamare beech jo information leak kar sakta hai?" Jagtap tried to convince him again.

"I have told you many times don't bring Sai into this. I have asked her. She has said she doesn't know anything. Its done. End of the issue. But still you keep nagging me again and again...I am tired of it." Virat almost shouted now, getting irritated by Jagtap's suspicion.

Jagtap was hurt from his behavior. "You are being a fool in love. Why don't you get it?" Jagtap argued but Virat interrupted him.

"Enough is enough! You are my friend Jagtap but she is my everything...everything. I don't want to hear a word against her or else...." Virat warned him.

"Or else what? Complete your sentence Virat." Jagtap asked getting angry now.

"I'll forget that what place you hold in my life and will consider you as my enemy." Virat replied with gritted teeth and looked away. He didn't like to fight with Jagtap, he was his childhood buddy, his brother but he also cant take anything against his jaan, his Sai.

Jagtap closed his eyes as his words hit him hard. After being loyal to him for his whole life, he rewards him by these harsh words.

"Driver, stop the car." Jagtap said and got out of the car.

Virat let out a deep sigh. "Drama band karo ab and get inside the car." Virat said getting irritated.

"You go, I have some work. I'll come later." Jagtap said and walked away while Virat shook his head dejectedly.

"What a drama queen he is." Virat commented and ordered driver to start the car and he left for his house.
