Part 17

Jagtap saw Sai outside Virat's room. She was about to go in when Jagtap called her. He could understand her condition. She must be upset over the brutal murders and also the hastily taken, almost forced decision on her about shifting to Virat's room. He tried to console her.

"Please forget whatever happened. I know Virat can be very cruel sometimes but he has his reasons." Jagtap tried to explain Virat's actions.

Sai couldn't stop her tears. "This incident has broken my hopes again. Virat hasn't changed a bit. He is still that ruthless monster who like to torture people. He loves his work and is very happy being a don of underworld. I was a fool to think that he can mend his ways." Sai replied as she wiped her tears.

"You cant blame him now. You always knew all about him. You chose him despite of his nature and work, remember?" Jagtap tried to reason. 

"I loved Virat but that time he was a person who killed people to avenge his loved ones, to serve justice, to help people whom law has disappointed. But I grew apart from him when his purpose was lost and all I could see in him was blood lust and his ambition for power." Sai sobbed. 

"But he is...." Jagtap tried to say something in his friend's defense but Sai interrupted him. 

"Till when will you cover up for his mistakes? Stop pretending as if he is some God and whatever he does is for some greater purpose." Sai mocked him.

Sai could feel Jagtap wants to say something further but she had had enough of it. She knew Jagtap was very loyal to Virat and no matter what, he would always defend his friend but she cant do it anymore. She cant be blind towards Virat's mistakes.

"Main janta hoon ki tumhara rishta nazuk daur se guzar raha hai. Aise mein, Virat ke yoon tumhe apne sath apne room mein rehne ke liye force karna...he shouldn't have done that." Jagtap shared his opinion.

"Tumhare aur mere chahne se kuch badalne wala hai kya? Virat jo decide kar leta hai wahi karta hai. Lekin is bar maine bhi kuch decide kiya hai aur main usse anjaam dekar rahungi." Sai blurted out cryptically about her mission.

"Kya matlab? Kya decide kiya hai tumne?" Jagtap asked suspiciously looking at the determination on her face.

Sai realized her mistake, she tried to cover it up. "Kuch...kuch bhi toh nahi. Main toh bas yun hi...anyways chhodo na ye sab baatein. Hum bhi kaha bekar ki behas mein pad gaye. Achha, mujhe room mein apna samaan set karna hai, good night." Sai ended the topic somehow.

Jagtap nodded and left from there but he couldn't stop himself from wondering whether Sai's words had some other meaning. Was she upto something?

Sai had accepted to be in Virat's room for the sake of her mission but it doesn't mean she was happy about it. She was frustrated about it. She was fuming in anger when Virat entered the room. Without even looking at her he went on to take shower. He came out as usual wrapping a towel around his waist. Sai looked at him. She was half expecting from him to flirt with her and try to come close to her but he didn't do anything. He changed his clothes and climbed on bed behaving as if she is not even present there.
