Part 26

Flashback
Year 2010

"Why you keep wearing these sunglasses always. Ever since I have come with you I have seen you very less without glasses that too for fleeting seconds." Sai asked from Virat. They were sitting on the beach and watching the sunset. 

"People say eyes are the mirror of soul. I don't like to show my vulnerabilities and fears or even other emotions to anyone." Virat replied without looking at her. 

"Not even to the people you love?" Sai asked and waited for his answer but he didn't say anything. 

Its been five days since he brought Sai from the bar. Sai thought he would be interested in making physical relations with her but time and over again she had been proved wrong as in these five days as he hadn't even touched her.

Sai lived in the duplex bunglow provided by him and he kept coming there whenever he felt like, there was no fix time. Sometimes, he would just talk with her about random topics, sometimes he takes her for a long drive or outing, like today he brought her to the beach to watch sunset with her. Sometimes he watched his favorite movies with her in the bunglow. He had asked did she know cooking. When she had replied in yes since then he always messages her before coming home to make food for him and they have been having their lunch and dinner mostly together now.

Its been not even a week and Sai knew him more than anyone else as she has been with him to all the places which were important to him, from where his good and bad memories were associated like his school, coffee and sandwich joint where he sat with his friends, the juvenile jail building, the place where his dad and sister died. He was weird. Normal man would take the girl they like to dinner dates and beautiful places but he always took her to the place related to his past.

At first, Sai was uncomfortable to go with him to such places...places which held personal importance, places what made him what he is today, places which held so many memories. Why anyone would take a stranger to such places with him? Then it dawned upon her, he wants her to know all about him, see him what he really is, bare it all whether good or bad about his life...but why? Sai wondered and he gave answer to her question when he removed his glasses and kept them in the pocket. He looked her without charades of glasses for the longest time. The intensity in his eyes scared her. They were screaming of his love for her. There was so much love in them and together were his vulnerabilities, fears, insecurities. His eyes were beautiful, shade of deep black. Just few moments ago she had asked him would he like to hide his emotions from the people he loves and here is he, baring it all in front of her. Sai thought he was just being dramatic when he had said that he fell in love at first sight with her but looks like he really did love her.

Sai came out of thoughts when he spoke up. "Come, lets go." He said and stood up. 

He gave his hand to her and she held it for support. "Where are we going? Sai asked but didn't get any answer.
