Flashback
Year 2010
Sai and Virat were in heavenly bliss of their new found love. Just one day ago they have confessed their feelings, since then Virat was with Sai. Jagtap had called him several times but he refused to come. He didn't want to leave Sai even for a second. They were lying in the bed, basking in the afterglow of sensuous love making.
"What attracted you towards me?" Sai asked as she made circles with her fingers on his bare chest leisurely while lying in his arms.
"Your innocence, beneath that heavy makeup, gaudy clothes and charades of badass girl, I saw an innocent girl stuck in that place...so unfit for there....she had a yearning in her eyes....as if constantly searching someone to take her out of there and I wanted to be that person for her." Virat replied as he kissed her hand.
Sai kept looking at him for sometime after his answer. How accurately he had read her. She also couldn't help but draw parallels in her and his 온라인카지노게임 and all the hardships they had to face. The shared somewhat similar pain of losing their parents early in life and then life throwing them in one after another difficult situation.
"Tum batao, tumne mujhme kya dekha? I mean, you know about my work, who I am then also you chose to love me." Now Virat asked curiously.
"What I have come to know about you, I feel you were just the victim of circumstances. If anyone at any given time had helped you, you would have not ended up here, in this crime world." Sai cupped his face and looked into his eyes.
"May be, but now I am a part of this crime world and I have no regrets. I like being in the position of power." Virat replied.
"I know you are not a typical "Hero" of fairy tales. You know the one they call, sarvgun sampann types of guy." Sai chuckled and so did Virat.
She added further. "All I can sense is that you are a good soul. That's what attracted me towards you." Sai explained.
"Thanks for choosing me. To grace the darkness of my life with your light." Virat replied as he kissed her hand yet again.
"Virat, tum bura na mano toh ek baat bolu?" Sai hesitated a little before broaching the topic.
"You can say anything to me, jaan. Tumhe saare haq hai mujhpar, phir kabhi mann mein koi doubt mat rakhna." Virat made her understand.
Sai nodded and asked the question which was bugging her ever since she had said yes to him. "I can understand what push you in the crime world. But now there is no pressure on you. You can leave everything and start fresh....with me. You know, ye sab chhodkar hum kahi durr ja sakte hain, ek nayi shuruaat kar sakte hai life ki phir se." Sai gave him hope.
Virat was silent for some time as if contemplating on what she said then he spoke with determination, "This darkness has become a part of me now and I embraced it a long ago with all my heart. To be honest, I don't want to leave the underworld. Ye meri pehchaan ban chuka hai."
Sai was not expecting this answer. She thought he will at least take some time to think about it but he out rightly rejected the idea. "Abhi tumhe aisa lagta hai lekin hamare future ka kya? I mean, kya sari umr tum yuhi ek wanted criminal rahoge?"
And with heavy heart, Virat realized that Sai might have fallen in love with him but she still have her reservations about his work, his other identity of underworld don. Even though the thought of her leaving him was killing him but he had to ask her, he had to give her an option.
He took a deep breath before speaking. "I understand that you do not belong here and I can decide for myself but not for you. But there is no other way, If you stay with me then you have to accept me with my dark life....however, you can always choose to say no....I will be heartbroken but your happiness matters to me." Virat answered honestly.
Sai kept thinking for few moments. She didn't know he would say something like this. She love him, she don't want to go anywhere leaving him but then, is she ready to turn blind eye to his dark side?
Before Sai could have answered Virat got call from Jagtap. He cut it because he wanted to pend some more time with Sai but Jagtap again called him. Virat picked it up this time.
"Virat, I know you don't want to get disturbed but its really important." Jagtap said hurriedly.
"What happened?" Virat asked now sitting straight on bed, guessing by Jagtap's tone that something bad has happened.
"Our gang member, Shyam bhaiyya, the one from the waadi...." Jagtap started but Virat grew impatient.
"Jaggu, I know who Shyam bhaiyya is. Tell me what happened to him." Virat inquired.
"He is...he is..dead. Someone killed him." Jagtap informed.
"What! I am coming right now." Virat said and cut the call.
"What happened?" Sai asked when she saw him worried.
"Something important came up. I have to go." Virat replied as he wore his clothes.
"Is everything alright? Is there a problem?" Sai asked getting worried for him now.
"Don't worry, one important matter came up unexpectedly. I have to see into it." Virat replied sharing as less as possible about the gory details of his business.
"Bye, I will try to come at night." Virat kissed Sai on the forehead and left for the waadi.
When Virat reached there, the whole waadi had gone into mourning as they gathered around Shyam's dead body.
"How this happened?" Virat asked from Jagtap as he instructed some people to make arrangements for the funeral of Shyam.
"That gang of drug peddlers we fought off some days ago. Shyam bhaiyya was with us in that raid. Two of their members were successful in running away. They found Shyam bhaiyya alone today. He was gone with his wife and kids for a movie. They identified him as our gang member. They took advantage of the situation of him being alone and killed him." Jagtap informed.
Virat was livid after hearing the details. Some small timer drug paddlers had laid hands on his gang that too like this, when he was with his family. It was an unforgiveable offense in Virat's rule book.
"Take all your men. Find those bas***ds for me at any cost. I will kill them with my own hands." Virat said in anger.
Just then Shyam's wife and two little kids came there. His wife broke down on seeing her husband's dead body. Bhawani pacified them.
"Be with them Bhawani kaku and Jagtap, make sure they dont have to suffer financially in future. Shyam bhaiyya ke siwa in logo ka aur koi nahi tha." Virat shared his views.
"Tum nahi bhi kehte toh bhi main inka khayal rakhti. Mera toh kaam hi yahi hai. Whoever dies in this crime world leaving their family alone I take care of their family. Tumhare kaka sahib Nagesh ji kehte the ki koi dhandha chhota bada nahi hota. So, I never considered our business any less than of so called white collar businesses but the only thing I hate about it is there is no guarantee of life here. Pata nahi kab kiski maut likhi ho....gangster toh mar jate hain aur pichhe chhod jate hain apne parivar jinko na police jeene deti hai na us gangster ke dushman." Bhawani shared her opinion.
Her words struck Virat like some lightning bolt and he felt as he has started dreaming with open eyes, dreaming about the harsh reality. He was seeing Shyam's wife and kids sitting near the dead body. But suddenly the sheet over the dead body blew away a little with the wind and Virat looked at it stunned as suddenly he saw himself dead in Shyam's place and Sai was sitting near him crying continuously. There was no one for her and her uncle Rajesh Kale was dragging her away to take her back to that life from where he wanted to save her.
He came out of that horrible imagination when Jagtap called him for last rituals of Shyam. As Virat set fire to the pyre of Shyam, he decided to burn his love as well. His Bhawani kaku was right. There is no guarantee of life in their world and when someone dies the life of his family members become hell. He cant give that life to Sai. And also, didn't Sai has her reservations about his work. He sensed her wish of living away from this crime world but he is now an integral part of it. He will now have to avenge Shyam bhaiya, he has vowed to finish the killers in cold blood. Will Sai be able to accept him like that, a ruthless killer?
No, probably she wont be able to do that. He was being selfish, only thinking about his own happiness. He dared to dream about love but he forgot that dreams are not for him, love is not for him. He belong to this dark world only. Sai might never be happy with him. She wont have secure future with him also. He should send Sai away from him to lead a normal life.
Virat went back to Sai at night. "What took you so long? I was waiting for you."Sai asked as she hugged him.
Virat didn't reply anything. "Come, we'll have dinner together." Sai pulled him towards the dining area.
"I don't feel like eating anything." Virat replied and went to straight to bed.
He lied down on bed feeling tired. Sai also joined him. She caressed his hair. "I was wondering...today was the last day of the week...you brought me here for a week....now what about tomorrow? I mean...I know it sounds silly...now that we love each other you will not send me away from you but still...please say it once for me....I want to hear from your mouth. You will not send me back tomorrow...right?" Sai asked hopefully.
Virat closed his eyes hearing her request. The pain, the heartbreak almost threatening to moisten his eyes. He gathered up courage, "You'll have to go tomorrow. We cant be together."
Tears started flowing from Sai's eyes. She wanted to ask why he said that. Everything was fine till afternoon but now what happened suddenly? She tried to form a proper sentence but couldn't say anything and just kept crying.
Virat wiped her tears. "Sorry for hurting you, jaan. I didn't want to but....its for your own good...we cant be together."
