Part 16
Virat had brutally killed two men in front of everyone. Sai kept looking at the two dead bodies in front of her. She came out of shock after sometime and looked up at Virat. He had a satisfactory smile on his face as he instructed his men to clean out the mess and send those dead bodies to Anna and Patnaik. He was least bothered by Sai's reaction.
Jagtap noticed her condition. He stepped closer to her and tried to talk to her but Sai was not in the mood to talk right now.
"I am going into my room. I should have listened to him and gone there earlier, at least I would have been saved from this trauma of watching two murders. But my stupid heart, I thought I could change Virat's mind." Sai said more to herself than to Jagtap.
Jagtap just nodded at her, understanding her state of mind right now. He knew it will not be easy for Sai to forget all this. She needs some time...some time alone, away from Virat to digest all this. He concentrated on clearing out the mess.
Sai turned to go in her room when Virat called her, "I heard that you sent Pakhi out of your room. And also, you keep trying to sent her away for frivolous things? How can she be with you if you keep avoiding her?"
Sai looked behind him and saw Pakhi standing there and smirking at her. Looks like she told Virat about how she was thrown out of the room.
"Yes, I want privacy. She keeps standing above my head all the time, I dont like it." Sai replied pointedly looking at Pakhi.
"I called her here to look after you and all you have been doing is trying to get away from her. This is not done, jaan. Let Pakhi stay in your room with you." Virat reasoned.
"Tumne ise mera khyal rakhne ke liye bulaya hai ya phir mujh par nazar rakhne ke liye? Iska 24*7 mere sath rehna jaruri nahi hai. I don't like her and I don't want to stay with her." Sai said with determination.
"Try to understand, jaan. Times are tough. Cant leave you alone even for a second. Aur main pure time ghar mein nahi reh sakta isliye Pakhi ko bulaya tha." Virat explained.
"If you are so scared then stop unnecessary bloodshed. It's a never ending cycle. You kill their men and they will come after to kill your people." Sai taunted.
"Spare me the lecture. Hum pehle bhi hazar bar is bare mein baat kar chuke hain. Na main underworld chhodne wala hoon aur na main apne dushmano se darr kar bhagne wala hoon." Virat stated the obvious.
"Toh phir karo jo karna hai lekin mujhe mere haal pe chhod do. Mujhe koi 24*7 ki babysitter nahi chahiye. Aur ye mere room mein to bilkul nahi reh sakti. I hate her." Sai made her point clear.
Virat was angry on Sai's stubbornness. "If you dont want to share room with her then fine, you have to share a room with me. Pakhi nahi pasand na, theek hai phir mere sath, mere kareeb raho." Virat said with finality.
Sai gave him a sharp look and in reply he returned the same look.
"Mujhe acchi tarah pata hai is sab ke peechhe tumhara kya irada hai. Ye sab karke tum yahi chahte ho na ki main tumhare kareeb aa jaun, sab kuch bhul jaun jaise ki kuch hua hi na ho?" Sai guessed his intentions.
"I am proud of you, jaan. Tum ye samajhdari bhari baatein karte hue bahut sexy lagti ho." Virat winked at her.
"Sapne dekhte raho. Aisa kabhi nahi hoga." Sai commented.
"Main tumhe puchh nahi raha, jaan. Tumhe bata raha hoon. Ya toh tum Pakhi ke sath dosti karo aur usko tumhara khyal rakhne do ya phir tum mere room mein shift ho jao aur mujhe tumhara khyal rakhne do." Virat made his point clear.
Sai took a deep breath, she didn't like any of the two options but then she remembered Satya also ask her to do this, to go near Virat. What better opportunity then this she will get? Virat himself asking her to move in to his room; isn't it the right thing she should be doing if she wants more information. This is the perfect moment. She should jump at it. But she didn't want to look too eager so she kept pretending she is not at all happy about it.
"Jaldi decide karo, mere pass pura din nahi hai." Virat commented again.
"I don't want to stay with either of you two but then...tumhe jhelna meri purani aadat hai. Lekin is Pakhi ko main nahi jhel sakti." Sai gave her answer.
"Ok, its decided then. You are moving into my room. Pakhi, shift her things to my room." Virat instructed.
"Toh iska matlab, ab mera kaam yaha khatam? Ab mujhe isko babysit karne ki jarurat nahi hai na?" Pakhi questioned.
"Nahi, bhale hi Sai mere sath rahegi lekin phir bhi usko personal maid ki jarurat toh rahegi na, toh tum yaha rahogi abhi." Virat stated while Pakhi gasped at being called maid yet another time.
Jagtap who was noticing all this, tried to think from Sai's pov, after all, he was her friend too.
He took Virat to one side and whispered to him. "Virat, I know you love her and want to close the distance between you two soon but don't rush out things like this. She is upset right now....."
Virat put his hand on Jagtap's shoulder, "You are my friend, confidant. I appreciate your wise advice on every issue but...." Virat took a pause and gave him a angry glare as he tilted his head a little.".....never ever try to come between me and my jaan."
Jagtap looked down and just nodded his head in yes. He knew Virat wont appreciate any advice on this topic but still he couldn't help it being friend of both of them. He just wanted their good.
Virat turned to leave but took a pause to give one more threat to Sai. "And you, If I didn't find you in my room in five minutes; you know me."
Jagtap heard Virat's warning to Sai and her angry stomping footsteps climbing stairs to go in his room. He shook his head dejectedly at both of them.
Jagtap came in his room and sat down on a rocking chair. He didn't even bother to put on lights. He was hurt by Virat's words. Though he knew Virat's nature but sometimes his words stings and he and Sai was always at receiving end of it. He could imagine Sai's discomfort right now. Their relationship is already tumultuous, at this time sharing room with Virat will not be a pleasant experience for her.
But Virat always tends to ignore the feelings of people around him. However, he was his best friend and no matter what they have always stuck together in thick and thin.
Jagtap closed his eyes as he remembered how he met Virat-
Flashback
Year 2003, Juvenile Prison
"What have you done to come here?" Virat asked as he settled down on one bed.
"Pick pocketing and you?" Jagtap asked back.
"Murder." Virat replied.
"Whoa! Murder, at such young age." Jagtap said in wonder then looked at this new boy Virat in admiration as if he was some hero and had achieved an unattainable goal.
"Why are you looking at me like this?" Virat asked.
"You must have lots of courage to do that. I remember once I witnessed a murder on the street. When I heard the gun shot I pissed in my pants." Jagtap shared his experience.
Virat couldn't stop himself from laughing. He liked this boy instantly. He thought they could be friends. He continued talking with him. "I murdered that man with knife. Though I took a gun with me but I didn't know how to operate it."
Virat continued to share his 온라인카지노게임 with Jagtap and he also got to know everything about Jagtap's life that he was an orphan and grew up on streets and now how he do pick pocketing and small thefts for livelihood. It was the start of their friendship.
One night both Jagtap and Virat were sleeping when they heard a commotion outside. Virat got up and switched on the light. Jagtap also got up. They saw that warden with his assistant were dragging one boy out of one room and the boy was pleading them to leave him. The boy was hardly 8-10 years old. Till now the lights of other rooms were also on.
"Not me, please not me. I went there last week also. Please take someone else this time." Boy pleaded.
"He specifically mentioned your name. You must have given him good services." Warden laughed.
"Baki sab kya tamasha dekh rahe hain. Light band karke so jao nahi toh sabki taange tod dunga mar mar ke." Warden roared and everyone put off their lights.
"What was that about?" Virat asked Jagtap once they lied again on their respective beds.
"Don't know, but ever since I have come here, I have been noticing that every weekend they take away one or sometimes more than one boys out of prison to somewhere and boys only return in the morning." Jagtap replied.
"But where they take them and why that boy was crying?" Virat asked.
"I don't know. I tried to ask some boys who went there. They all were so scared to tell anything. Some boys also had bruises on their face and body when they returned."
"How do they choose which boy will go?" Virat inquired.
"I guess they select one room every weekend. What I have been noticing, this time it was our neighborhood's turn but then as we heard warden was saying something like he specifically wanted that boy., so that boy was repeated for tonight." Jagtap replied.
"By this logic, next to next weekend is our turn." Virat concluded and Jagtap nodded.
Soon their turn came. Since morning the other boys were giving them sympathetic looks. Jagtap was tensed what will happen but Virat kept giving him assurance that everything will be fine.
"Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai yaar. Aaj raat warden mujhe le gaya toh kya hoga?" Jagtap asked, almost shuddering with fear.
"Tu darr mat Jaggu, main hoon na tere sath. Hum jaha jayenge sath jayenge aur agar warden sirf ek ladke ko le jayega to teri jagah main chala jaunga." Virat assured him and Jagtap was glad for the support he had shown.
Finally, at night warden came to their room. "What a coincidence! Today we needed two boys and this room also has two residents." Warden laughed evilly.
"Haan, ab bore karna band kar aur bata kahan chalna hai? We are ready." Virat replied confidently while Jagtap hid himself behind Virat nervously.
"Bahut akad hai tujhme. Subah tak sab utar jayegi akad bhi aur....." warden left the sentence in between and laughed out loud.
He took both the boys to outer city area into someone's farmhouse. A party was going on there. People were dancing with bar girls and drinks were being served. Virat noticed most of the people were dressed in white kurta payjama, some sported a nehru jacket and hat too. He knew enough world to deduce that they belonged to some political party.
Warden waited with both the boys at the door of one room and one man came out of it. He handed over the warden a bag full of money and asked him to leave and come in morning to pick up boys.
Warden turned to leave and gave a last sly smile to Virat and Jagtap as he said to that man. "Dono ko first time laaya hoon. Ekdum fresh maal hai. Aur ye ladka toh kuch jyada hi kadak hai. Mantri ji se kehna iski achhe se aarti utare." He said pointing towards Virat.
Jagtap clutched Virat's hand tightly listening to the warden. Virat gestured him to relax as he wont let anything happen to them. They were taken inside the room.
They saw some political leader whom warden has refered to as mantriji was sitting with one other guy. Virat remembered he saw this mantriji's photo in newspapers. He had social justice and welfare portfolio and other man with him looked like some gangster. Both of them were sitting there half naked. They were already high on whiskey and drugs. As soon as they saw the two boys the gangster guy came near Jagtap and tried to touch him inappropriately. Jagtap cowered in fear.
Virat pushed that man with all his might and he staggered back into his chair. He angrily pulled out his gun from the pocket and pointed it on Virat. "Saala dhakka deta hai? Abhi dikhata hoon tujhe. Chal pehle tu kapde utar. Pehle tujhse shuruaat hogi aaj."
Virat stood there, looking directly into his eyes, not an ounce of fear inside him. "Must say, there are many kinds of people in this world. Have heard of mother f**kers, sister f**kers but first time seeing a children f**kers." Virat chuckled as he mocked the men.
"Ae, bakwaas band kar nahi toh idhar hi thok dalega." Gangster once again warned Virat.
Virat looked at him angrily but to make him believe that he is afraid because of the gun he started opening buttons of his shirt. This distracted the gangster momentarily as he become relaxed. Virat took advantage of it and grabbed the glass of whiskey from the table. Before gangster could understand anything Virat threw whiskey on his face. The gun fell down from his hands as he rubbed both his eyes. The very next second Virat grabbed the whiskey bottle and smashed it on the table. He pointed the broken bottle towards the gangster and before he could see properly Virat pierced his stomach with it.
The gangster screamed in agony and minister also cried for help but due to the loud music playing outside no one heard them. Virat then picked up the gun of gangster and this time he first unlocked it carefully remembering his mistake at Pakiya's time.
He pointed it towards the minister, "Bachho ke sath sone ka bahut shauk hai na. Ab teri aisi haalat hogi ki tu bachhe toh kya apni biwi ke sath bhi nahi so payega." Virat said and took a aim at his groin. Without any second thought he shot the bullet there and minister screamed with immense pain.
Virat let out a small laugh but he heard some weird sound like someone was pouring some liquid on the floor. He turned to ask Jagtap but he looked down at him as he got his answer. Jagtap had again wet his pants hearing the gun shot. Virat shook his head disapprovingly but then broke out into a laughter.
"Kya yaar Jaggu?" Virat asked still trying to control his laughter.
"Toh kya karu Viru? Saala ye gun itni zor ka awaz karta hai ki apun ki phat jati hai." Jagtap defended and started laughing himself.
"Can I try also?" Jagtap asked gathering up his courage after sometime.
"Sure, if you wont piss your pants again." Virat laughed and gave him the gun.
Jagtap took the shot at gangster at the same place and fired. "It is fun." Jagtap concluded while gangster screamed.
"Now what?" Jagtap asked.
"We are free. Lets run out of here." Virat said but then stopped and looked at the table.
There were few unopened bottles of whiskey and also some packets of drugs. He picked it up all then both of them ran away.
"Ab hum kya karenge?" Jagtap asked again as they climbed the wall of farm house.
"Mumbai par raaj karenge." Virat replied in attitude.
