SaiRat FF Dangerous Game

Part 6

Sai made sure that the kids at orphanage are in safe hands as she appointed a new care taker. Satya also appointed police men there for security so that Sai can come with him with free mind. Satya brought Sai at his house.

"Welcome to my home." Satya said and called his mother Amba.

"Aai, ye Sai hai. Ye samjhlo ki eb se ye bhi hamari team ka hissa hai. Hum isko ek mission ke liye training dene wale hain, tab tak ye yahi rahegi hamare sath hamare ghar mein." Satya told his aai.

"Theek hai beta, jaisa tujhe theek lage. Main abhi iske guest room ready kar deti hoon." Amba replied and went inside to make arrangements.

Sai gave Satya a questioning look. "Mera is tarah aapke ghar mein rehna...I mean kya jarurat thi iski?"

Satya started explaining. "Besides me, very few of my men know about your whereabouts. I don't trust everyone. So you will live here in my house as it's the safest place for you."

Before Satya could say anything more a child of about 6-7 years of age came and hugged him. "Yayy! Daddy, you are back. I missed you a lot. What did you brought for me from Pune?"

Sai smiled at the child. She didn't know Satya had a child, he looked a lot like Satya. "What is your name baby?"

The child looked at Satya as if asking for permission to speak to a stranger. Satya nodded his head then child introduced himself. "Hii, my name is Sahas Adhikari. Son of Satya and Sandhya Adhikari." Child said proudly.

"Oh, hello Sahas, I am Sai Joshi. I will be living here in your house for some days. Will you be my friend?" Sai forwarded her hand.

Sahas shook her hand immediately. "Sai aunty, we will have a great time. I will show you all my toys and we will play a lot."

Sai laughed seeing excitement of child. "Where is your mumma, Sahas, unko bhi bula lo, phir hum puri team banakar khelenge."

Sahas become sad at the mention of his mother. He looked at Satya almost on the verge of crying. "I dont have mumma."

Sai realized she shouldn't have mentioned his mother. She couldn't hold her curiosity. "I am sorry, I shouldn't have said that but what happened to your wife?"

Satya took a deep breath before replying. "My wife Sandhya died when Sahas was only few months old."

Sai gasped on listening about the cruel fate. "I am so sorry to hear that."

Amba returned from inside, she had heard everything. To avoid telling anything in detail in Sahas's presence, she asked him to go inside for lunch.

Once Sahas left, Sai apologized again. "Really, I didn't mean to scratch your old wounds."

"Arre beta, aisi koi baat nahi hai. Wo toh bas hum Sahas ke samne ye topic avoid karte hain, bachha hai na, shayad she nahi payega." Amba explained.

Sai gave them a confused look and couldn't stop herself from asking. "How did she died?"

Satya took a pause as he felt that his eyes were filled with tears. "I was posted in Punjab back then. I arrested drug mafias there and broke their network. When they were sentenced to jail some of them ran away from police custody and to get back to me they attacked my house. Sandhya was killed in that attack." Satya completed with difficulty as he felt his throat choked.

The emotions that he hides behind his tough exterior were now out on display. "After that incident I took desk posting at Intelligence Bureau and was only called on special missions like this." Satya completed.

Sai now could guess his passion for chasing down mafia lords and fight against crime. "That's why you take these kinds of mission. You want to finish off people like those mafias who destroyed your family."

Satya nodded his head. "Haan, mujhe nafrat har criminal se. Main inhe jad se mitaa dena chahta hoon. Aura b toh tum bhi mere sath ho is mission mein, dekhna hum jarur kamyab honge."

"Of course, tumhe tumhara mission pura karne ka sukoon milega aur mujhe Virat Chavan ko maarkar apna badla pura karne ka. Phir shayad main bhi life mein aage badh paungi." Sai shared her feelings.

Satya smiled at her and informed about her training. "We'll start your training from tomorrow. You already know how to use a gun. You'll catch up soon. Then we will think of some plan to bring you in front of Virat. It should look like a coincident. You finish your training first and we will think about it later."

Amba welcomed Sai in her house with open heart and soon Sai became friends with Sahas too. Sai became like a family member to them. She could feel that family's pain of losing someone, after all, she had also lost her baby. They bonded really well. Sai's training had also started. Satya introduced her to Inspector Mohit, Ajinkya and junior inspector Karishma. They taught her about different weapons. Sai already knew few of them while she practiced with the new ones. It was one thing that she could operate weapons but other thing that she had a poor aim. So first few days they concentrated on the target practice.

Then Sai was introduced to the senior inspector crime branch Rohan who was expert in psychiatry and criminal psychology. They thought once Sai would be with Virat, she might have to lie to him many times to save herself from being caught so she should look confident while doing so. Sai insisted there was no need for this as she knew Virat's weaknesses already and how to utilize them in her favour but still on Satya's insistence, she took lessons from Rohan.

Then Karishma taught Sai some basic physical combats techniques which would prove helpful if Sai is alone and she needs to fight off few people to save herself.

Lastly Sai was introduced to the tech expert of their team Swami. He taught Sai how to use different communication gadgets and spy cams to send message to them. She took some time to get a hang of it as she was not a tech savvy person. But with her determination she learned it finally.

In between all this Sai had formed a bond with the whole team and specially with Satya and his family. Mohit, Ajinkya and Karishma treated her like a friend. Rohan was still skeptical towards her but treated her like a team member nonetheless. Swami was not interested in bonding with anyone let alone Sai, so he was fine with it.

Sai had noticed on many occasions that Satya used to stare at her sometimes, specially when she plays with Sahas. She could tell he feels happy seeing her with his child.

It was one such moment when Satya was looking at Sai and Sahas when Amba caught him. "Kaafi sundar hai na Sai?" she asked.

Satya who was totally captivated by her charm replied in trance. "Yes, she is so beautiful."

"Aur aate hi usne Sahas ka bhi dil jeet liya hai, kitna ghul mil gayi hai uske sath." Amba said further.

Satya still didn't realized to whom he was talking. "Yes, wo toh hai. Sai aur Sahas ko dekh kar aisa lagta hai jaise...."

Amba completed his sentence. "...jaise phir se hamara parivar pura ho gaya ho."

Satya finally came out of trance when he realized what his mother meant. "Huh! Ye kya keh rahi hain aap?"

Amba was adamant on her point. "Sahi toh keh rahi hoon. Main tumhari maa hoon, mujhe pata hai ki tumhe Sai achhi lagne lagi hai. Tum usko shadi ke liye kyu nahi puchhte?"

Satya was shocked at her statement yet he somewhere felt hopeful for his future for the first time in years. Why is that? Has he really fallen in love with Sai? Does she likes him too?

"Aai, main Sai ko yaha isliye laaya hoon kyunki wo hamare mission ka ek jaruri hissa hai." Satya reminded himself and his aai of reality.

"Haan to main kab mana kar rahi hoon. Ek bar tumhara ye mission ho jaye phir Sai hamari family ka hissa bane to isme kya problem hai? Tum ek bar usse apne dil ki baat bolke toh dekho." Amba shared her opinion. Satya could only nod at her in response.

Sai had noticed Satya had become more protective and caring towards her in these few days. She was not naïve, she very well knew these gestures. She remembered her old days, when she used to be head over heels in love with Virat. Those days when the sky was used to be pink and earth was used to be all purple.....those carefree days...then how her beautiful world turned into a nightmare when reality hit her.

She was not sure whether she could go through all that again in her life, feel that deeply for anyone else again but she could see Satya looked at her with hopeful eyes.

Her training was finally completed. It was her time now to go for the mission, to face Virat again. Satya who had made all this plan was now suddenly feeling scared for her safety. In these few days, she isn't just a spy for him anymore, she has become much more.

Mumbai, Police headquarters, present day

"Dcp sir, Our informer has been working on a lead since few days. According to it, next week in Pune there is a seminar held by govt.'s women and child development department. Its confirmed that home minister Thorat will be attending that program as a chief guest." Mohit informed.

All the team members looked at him in shock. "Gang wars ke kaaran pura Mumbai aur aaspaas ke area ek battle ground bana hua hai au raise mein is home minister Thorat ko chief guest banke photo khichwani hai...I cant believe this." Ajinkya commented.

"In mafia lords se home minister ki jaan ko khatra ho sakta hai. Mujhe to lagta hai inpe kahi jaanleva hamla na ho jaye." Karishma shared her opinion.

Mohit gulped down with difficulty as he shared another news. "Sir, pakki khabar hai ki is seminar mein home minister ko target kiya jayega. Kaun sa mafia lord iske peechhe hai abhi is bare mein kuch nahi pata.

Rohan shared his opinion. "Sir, home minister ko target karna badi baat hai. Baki mafia lords jaise bhi ho, mujhe nahi lagta unme itna dum hai nahi toh wo ye kaam kab ka kar chuke hote. Iska matlab hai ek hi insaan bachta hai jo is tarah ka plan bana sakta hai aur woh hai...."

Satya completed his sentence. "....woh hai Virat Chavan."

He continued further. "Iska matlab samajh rahe ho tum log?"

Sai answered and when no one replied. "Yahi ki mujhe Virat ki life mein wapas bhejne ke liye jis sahi mauke ka tum log intezar kar rahe the wo aa gaya hai."

"Yes. Game is on, mission started." Satya concluded.

Satya and Sai were all set to go to Pune on the mission. Satya made a plan how Sai will come in front of Virat if it really turned to be him only at the seminar.

The seminar was started, everybody was taking their position. Satya saw Sai getting ready and he remembered his mother's words. He couldn't contain his feelings anymore now.

Satya went towards her. "Sai, I know this is not the time but I want to confess something. I...I guess I...I love you, Sai. Ye mission over ho jaye uske baad main tumse shadi karna chahta hoon. Tum kehti ho na ek chhota sa parivar basana tumhara sapna tha. Main tumhara wo sapna pura karna chahta hoon."

Sai knew it was coming. She could understand his feelings and she herself was craving for some normalcy in her life. But she couldn't keep him in dark about her feelings. So she told him honestly.

"I am done with love. I don't think I can love anyone with that same intensity but...I...I like you. I like being with Sahas." She confessed.

Satya just caught the little ray of hope. "Itna hi mere liye kafi hai Sai. Tum is mission se wapas aa jao phir hum ek nayi shuruaat karenge....ek parivar ki tarah."

Sai gave a mirthless laughter. "Mission se wapas aa jaun toh na. We both know this mission is very dangerous."

"Main tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga, Sai. I promise." Satya assured.

Sai smiled at him finally. "Lets pray for the success of this mission. Shayad iske baad mujhe mera parivar, mera sabkuch mujhe wapas mil jaye."

Satya nodded too at her. Sai, for one last time reminded him of his promise. "Tumhe yaad hai na? Virat Chavan ko sirf main marungi."

"Haan mujhe apna vaada yaad hai. Chalo ab seminar start hone ka time ho raha hai. Apni position le lo." Satya said and hugged her.
