Were you guys sniffing glue earlier?

Start from the beginning

"Alright, I'm gonna go before this gets awkward." I said when I heard Snake behind me whisper-yell to 'get the fuck out of there' and to 'remove myself from the situation".

"See you next week Jill!" Ronan said happily. A lot of people looked extremely surprised.

"Fill that jar with candy, Ro." I smirked. Most people were thinking hard, as if I'd made a weird innuendo and they were trying hard to figure it out.

When I closed the door behind me, I turned to see Jake and Snake standing before me with their arms folded across their chest. Jake was tapping his foot annoyingly.

"He's not here." I stated.

"You don't say. Took you long enough." Jake said with an amused glint in his eyes.

"Watch it. I can still tell that creepy teacherlady you're here." I threatened Jake.

"I'll be a good boy." Jake said innocently, making Snake snort.

"No you won't." I raised my eyebrow. Jake did his signature smirk and that was that.

"Alright, let's ditch this place." Snake said.

We had been standing there for so long, talking about random things and wondering if Code was there. We'd been too lazy to actually leave school.

Just when we were nearing the exit the schoolbell rang, indicating school was out.

"What a fail. What a big, big fail. This is just lame." Snake said. He was right.

I started laughing. Hard. The guys looked at me as if I had kissed the pope. The ridiculousness of the situation had hit me hard.

A few seconds later the guys started laughing too. I wasn't sure if they were laughing with me or the situation. Probably both.

"Well, I've got work." Jake said eventually.

"Me too." Snake added.

I dramatically brought the back of my hand to my forehead. "Oh, just leave me like you always do." I whined.

Snake and Jake shared a look, then Jake nodded and they both turned their head towards me with a creepy smile on their faces.

They walked up to me and hugged me. A bone crushing Snake-Jake sandwich.

"Okay okay, leave!" I mumbled against Jake's chest.

When they let go I fake coughed. You know, for emphasis.

"Did you say something or were you trying to eat my delicious chest, Jilly?" Jake wiggled his eyebrows.

"Don't be gross! I was busy dying." I scoffed.

"You died and went to heaven darling." Jake curtsied before he took off on his bike.

After Snake left I decided to go straight to Code's house instead of my own. I could've just texted him to ask him why he didn't invite us to ditch for an entire day but the guy hated technology. There was always a big risk you didn't get a text back until a few days later.

It's very confusing to get a random reply from Code three days after you've sent a text. I usually didn't bother.

When I pulled into the familiar driveway I noticed the car was there. That meant both Code and Chase were home. I didn't mind Chase being home.

The house seemed pretty empty. The guys were probably in their rooms. Even Bus didn't run up to me to greet me. I was disappointed. The little creature and I had bonded a lot recently and now he didn't even have the decency to greet me? Fine. Whatever. See if I care.
