"And then Tasha appeared" She frowned. Wait, what?
                              
"What do you mean 'Tasha appeared'?" Plot twist.
                              
"When we were walking out of the diner we saw Tash sitting at a table near ours. She looked defeated." Kate shrugged, obviously not caring about Tasha since she was in her own bubble.
                              
Why would Tasha feel defeated? Maybe her hair still smelled. How hilarious would that be?
                              
Cue drama.
                              
Kate noticed my confusion.
                              
"Tash always had a crush on Matt and I'm guessing she had heard our conversation" That explained a lot.
                              
"Well, Ta-" I stopped talking when my phone buzzed.
                              
"Great, now I'm never gonna hear what you were gonna say" Kate said while I was grabbing my phone.
                              
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.
                              
"Tell me you still remember what you were gonna say" Kate looked challenging.
                              
I opened my mouth to reply but closed it again when I'd realised I'd actually forgotten what I was about to say. Damn her.
                              
Kate chuckled and gave me a look that said 'told you so'.
                              
The text I got was sent by Chase.
                              
I'll pick you up after school on Wednesday. Oh and you have to call me teacher ;) x
                              
I laughed. I was definitely not gonna call him teacher.
                              
"Oh my God. That was Chase wasn't it?" Kate beamed
                              
I waited a second before answering because I was replying to his text.
                              
See ya then... teacher. Nope, thought it was gonna sound kinky but it's just weird :p x
                              
I looked up at Kate who was stilling waiting for an answer. Shit, what did she ask again? Oh right, if it was Chase texting me.
                              
"Yep, why d'you ask?" I deadpanned.
                              
Kate was about to answer when my phone buzzed again.
                              
Too bad, at least we tried. Unless you like weird... x 
                              
I smiled but decided not to text back. I'd just let him wonder.
                              
"Because of that!" Kate said, pointing at my face. Okay, I got the feeling I wasn't part of this conversation anymore. I was lost.
                              
"Come on! It's so obvious you guys have feelings for each other" Kate said with a huge grin on her face.
                              
Whoa there. Where the hell did that come from?
                              
"Have you been sniffing glue?" I raised an eyebrow. Kate rolled her eyes, getting impatient.
                              
"I noticed it at your party, there's no denying it" Did I do something at the party I didn't remember? Maybe she was referring to the candy necklace thing.
                              
"If you're talking about the candy necklace, I was just caught off guard" I really had been because I hadn't expected Chase to eat it while I was still wearing it. Chase of all people. Plus, I was drunk.
                              
"Right, that too... But I was talking about the makeovers. You guys were definitely in your own little world. You totally had a moment. Snake pointed it out. And the entire time you guys were either facing each other of sitting next to each other." Kate looked at my reaction carefully.
                              
I had to think hard about that. My memories were a bit fuzzy. I remember thinking he had flawless skin and I had been very focused on putting the makeup on. And I had no recollection of our proximity at all.
