I was beaming internally. This was too perfect. It would've been awkward if he'd told the teacher something else.
                              
"No problem, I know you've been having buttproblems so I didn't want you to miss your appointment with the proctologist" I faked concern. Code shot me a quick glare but he recovered when he noticed the teacher was still looking at us.
                              
"Eh, well... you can go Code" The teacher said. I think she was a bit grossed out. I mean who wouldn't be? Buttproblems? Gross.
                              
"Yes, thank you mrs O'Donnell" He grabbed his bag and we got out of there. Fast. That room was suffocating.
                              
When we were near the entrance Code turned to me "I appreciate this but buttproblems? Seriously?" He flicked my head and I finally could burst out laughing. I'd been holding it in ever since I'd written that note.
                              
"You're welcome! So what are we doing?" I grinned.
                              
Code was still glaring at me but I could see a small smile appear on his face so I knew he wasn't really mad. In fact, he should be worshipping me for getting him out of that hellhole.
                              
"Let's go to my place, I think my parents brought some leftovers and I'm starving" My stomach replied with a growl. I guess I was hungry too.
                              
"Awesome! I'm gonna leave the car at my place, okay?" I loved the restaurant leftovers. They were the best thing ever.
                              
"Sure, I'll follow you" When you drive from school to Code's place you pass mine so it seemed silly to drive to Code's with two cars.
                              
We always drove up to my place and then I'd jump into Code's car. We're very efficient like that.
                              
When we arrived at my place I went inside real quick to toss my bag away. I took a look in the cupboards for a snack for our drive and then I spotted my Bean Boozled beans.
                              
I couldn't believe I'd forgotten about those! I quickly tossed the beans in the normal jelly beans package and hurried outside.
                              
"Took you long enough" Code had a bored look on his face. I guess we both needed a lot of stimulation because we got bored very easily.
                              
"I'm pranking your brother so the wait was worth it" I deadpanned.
                              
Code look surprised "Tell me!" He yelled like a kid that wanted to know what he'd gotten for Christmas.
                              
"Fine, calm your tits" I smiled at him. I could see he was rolling his eyes even though they were watching the road.
                              
I told him about my plan and he gave me a high five.
                              
When we arrived I was surprised to see his parents in the kitchen. I guess I wasn't the only one that was surprised. Code looked a bit frozen.
                              
"Mom, dad, what're you doing here?" They were never home at this hour. It was past five o'clock so it was gonna get busy very soon at their restaurant.
                              
"We're happy to see you too Code" Paula, Code's mom said dryly. I loved Code's parents, they were cool.
                              
"Jill! I haven't seen you in so long!" Paula walked up to me and gave me a big hug. I hugged Paula back. "It's been too long!" I replied with a smile.
                              
"You look beautiful as always" Code's dad, Derrick, appeared behind his wife. See, this is why I love Code's parents. They're great for my self esteem.
                              
I snorted "Yes, an entire day of school can do that to you" I said, being my sarcastic self. I knew I didn't look great. Derrick went in for a short hug.
                              
Yep, they were huggers. It had surprised me the first time I'd met Paula and Derrick but I'd grown to love their hugs.
                              
"We're not working this evening. We figured it was time to give our kids a proper meal instead of only cooking for strangers" Paula winked at us.
