I was inspired by supernatural elements from shows like Supernatural and Buffy, and, I think less consciously, SABRINA. So I took a lot of elements from things I enjoyed. There's also a lot of little similarities and allusions to things from Harry Potter because those books were very influential to me when I was young. 
                              
I can't remember where or when I first learned about a grimoire, but I knew I wanted to include that because I remembered reading such interesting lore about them when I was looking them up in high school for some 온라인카지노게임 or another. 
                              
And the reason I decided to have talking cats was really just because I wanted to write talking cats. I wanted to explore what I thought different kinds of cats might sound like if they could talk to us! :D

Is there any scene(s) inside the book you regret writing it for one reason and the other? If there's one or two, why did you regret writing those scene? Is it because you feel attach to the character or something else?

I think there are probably scenes that could stand improvement, for example toward the end when Darcy is monologuing it's a lot of explanation. There may have been another way I could have introduced some of that, perhaps with visions or something. It's one of the scenes I've debated over.  
                              
But there's not really any scenes I'd say I regret. Even toward the end when — BIG SPOILER ALERT — Gee dies, even though I was really attached to her I felt like it was an important scene and an important moment for Annika. Plus we still get to have Gee be a big part of a 온라인카지노게임 — and play a role in the sequel. :)

I think if I was going to write a bonus chapter I would probably write it from Dan's perspective. He's from the sequel and one of my favorite characters. :)

So it's not really a great "secret" haha! My readers are pretty perceptive, and I think a lot of them share in many of the fandoms I love. So they usually catch on to that kind of stuff. 
                              
I've mentioned it before, but Annika is loosely based off of my best friend. That's a fun one. :) She knows about it and everything! I actually mentioned it at Wattcon during my panel.
