As soon as Ishaan entered his house, the aroma of food hit his nostrils, pulling a knowing smile onto his face. He moved straight toward the kitchen, only to find his sister cooking.
“Chalo acha hai tu aa gai , ache khane ki thodi kami thi,” said Ishaan, taking her attention.
(Let’s go, good that you're here , the food was lacking a bit.)
“Bas khana banane ke liye hi bulaya na aapne mujhe,” said Ishita, rolling her eyes as she made a perfectly round chapati.
(You called me just to cook, didn’t you?)
“Of course , tujhe kya laga kyu bulaya hia mene tujhe , it's only because of food, baby,” said Ishaan with a playful smile.
(Of course , what did you think why I called you?)
“Shower lekar aa jao aap , tab tak khana bhi ready ho jayenga,” said Ishita, smiling as Ishaan kissed her hair softly before leaving the kitchen.
(Go take a shower , the food will be ready by then.)
After 20 minutes, Ishaan came downstairs, freshly showered. He settled into his chair while Ishita sat beside him.
“Khila mujhe,” said Ishaan, more like demanded, turning his chair completely toward Ishita.
(Feed me.)
She smiled at her brother and took out food for both of them on a single plate, beginning to feed him.
“Such a baby you are na bhaiyu , khud nahi kha sakte kya aap , isliye bulaya hai kya aapne mujhe,” said Ishita, teasing him fondly.
(Such a baby you are, bhaiyu , can't you eat by yourself? Is that why you called me?)
“I love it when you call me bhaiyu , and I was missing home, isliye bulaya hai tujhe,” said Ishaan with a soft smile.
(that’s why I called you.)
Ishita’s heart fluttered at his words. She took his hand and placed a light peck on his palm, making him smile.
“Bass esi mithi mithi baate karke pata liya karo aap mujhe. I seriously doubt ki aap itni achi baate karte ho uske baad bhi aapki abhi tak koi girlfriend kyu nahi hai,” said Ishita, completely unaware of her brother’s current emotional state.
(You always win me over with these sweet talks. I seriously doubt how you don’t have a girlfriend despite being so good with words.)
Ishaan gulped nervously—today, he had called her over exactly to talk about that.
“Tu khilane pr focus kar , mujhe kitni baate banani aati hai uspr nahi,” said Ishaan, brushing off the topic as Ishita just shook her head and continued feeding him.
(You focus on feeding me , not on how good I am at sweet-talking.)
“Aap aaj kal dhang se khana nahi khate kya , patle kyu lag rahe ho aap?” asked Ishita, eyeing her brother with concern.
(Have you not been eating properly these days , why do you look so thin?)
“Yaar mujhe bas nahi bhata cook ke haath ka ya bahar ka khana , matlab vo cook bohot acha khana banata hai but still , mujhe nahi bhata , it's just I am eating for living at this point,” said Ishaan, making a face.
