The night sped by in a blur. Draco took point in the receiving line, and Harry only had to murmur the required thanks. Though most of the people were Harry's friends and family, Draco was the one to handle all the pleasantries. No one could say that Draco was rude.

"Oh... Harry, Draco! It was beautiful!" Mrs. Weasley said, hugging both of them. Mr. Weasley shook their hands.

"Thank you so much, Mrs. Weasley, for letting us use your home," Draco said smoothly, bowing so like a gentleman. Harry couldn't stop staring.

He's all mine, he thought to himself, or maybe not so much to himself as Draco gave him a crooked smile. He kept his eyes forward, however, talking to his pseudo-in-laws. Harry couldn't hear Draco's thoughts, though.

Why can he hear mine? Harry thought.

Focus and control. You haven't been using your Occulmency as much as I have, Draco responded.

You're using Occulmency against me? Harry asked, shocked.

Not intentionally. I'm fucking panicking right now, he said, briefly meeting his eyes.

What? Harry thought, looking at Draco. Why?

Draco looked nervous. These are your people, Harry and, as of a few months ago, they hated me. Augusta Longbottom is here. Neville is still in a coma. The Weasleys lost two children to the Death Eaters. Bill Weasley was scarred because of me. Your DA club friends hate me. I can't believe that Granger and Weasley talk to me like we're friends.

Harry stroked his cheek. They will love you, because I love you. You are friends with Hermione and Ron. You play chess with him and he likes talking to you more than me now. I didn't know about Neville, though. Listen... she still came... I'm not sure why, but she didn't hex us or try to stop the wedding, so it will be fine. Don't block me out.

Draco nodded and let his walls down a bit. Harry was assaulted by a monologue of Draco's thoughts. Hey, it didn't activate. Does that mean it worked? Thank Merlin... so scared it wouldn't stop, and Harry would be hurt. Holy hell, we're actually together. No one can come between us. I never thought I'd have him... you. Sorry... it's hard to control everything.

Breathe, Draco... my soulmate. I'm happy... so happy, and we are together, Harry responded.

"Well, I'm guessing the stories about the mental link are true," Hermione said, making them look.

"What?" Ron said.

"Yeah, what?" Harry said, turning to her.

"You two have been talking to each other in your heads, haven't you? We've been watching your facial expressions... interesting, really," Hermione said.

Draco frowned. She knew that this would happen.

"You knew that this would happen?" Harry voiced.

"It's been debated. It's an advantage and secret that the couple kept to themselves. Sorry... I didn't really think you would have objected. It may just be there because of how much you were in each other's heads."

Possible, Draco murmured, mentally. And no, I wouldn't have objected to it. Just another perk, my love.

Harry shivered and met his eyes. I'm glad, too. I wonder if it works over long distances.

"Did the books say how far it would work?" Draco asked Hermione.

"It didn't say it was limited by any amount of distance."
