Steve's Point of View

Steve stood with the surviving Resistance members at the funeral.

Yep, they were finally having a funeral for everyone who had died.

Of course, they didn't have any of the bodies. They had forgotten to collect all of them, or they couldn't collect them.

Also, this was Minecraft, and dead bodies disappear in Minecraft.

Manga was talking to everyone about how great everyone who had died had been. Steve didn't want to talk about them. It brought back too many painful memories.

Manga had seemed especially sad when they had told him about Lourd's death. He and Lourd had been close friends.

"Everyone who is about to be named has helped us in the war effort, and therefore aided us to succeed at defeating Mojang," Manga said.

"Porkchops."

"Good Spider."

"Jerry."

"Godhand."

"Lee."

"Dee."

"Todd."

"Cupcake."

"Colin."

"Caroline."

"Goley."

"Ruby."

"Lourd."

"They are all in a better place now. Up in the Aether, they won't have any troubles. Goodbye friends. Goodbye," Manga finished. He sounded like he was about to cry.

Everyone slowly began to disperse from the area. The funeral had taken place in an open area near where Creektown used to be. Tomorrow, they would start rebuilding their village.

Steve started walking, not knowing where he was going.

On the way, he saw Louis, who was crying in Nina's arms. He looked up as Steve walked past, and gave a watery smile. Steve smiled back.

He kept walking. He saw Tommy and Alice, who were still talking. Steve had never seen Tommy so chatty.

He kept walking, and nodded to Manga as he passed. Manga blew his nose in a tissue and nodded back.

Steve saw Sadie, Jessie, and Ghoul playing together. He also saw Nomis, who was stroking Simon and staring off into the sunset.

Enderspi and Scullscan were talking quietly. They both waved to Steve as he passed, who waved back.

Steve kept walking, and saw Jay and Kirai. Jay had his arm around her and was whispering to her.

Steve passed them, and Jay fist bumped him with his other arm. Kirai smiled at Steve.

Steve kept walking. He found himself in the ruins of Creektown.

He found the cobble structure of a house. The wood had all burned down. He walked inside it.

He climbed up some cobblestone, and found himself on what used to be the roof.

He recognized what house he was in now.

Ruby's.

Steve sat down where he and Ruby used to always sit together.

He stared into the sunset, thinking.

He remembered Ruby's last words, about how she didn't want him to join her.

As much as he wanted to join her, he knew he couldn't do that.

People needed him.

After all, he was the fate of Minecraftia.

Back in Sector 21, in the village of Leonardtown, the Villagers all stood in a group, staring off in the direction the trucks had left.

"So when do you think they'll be back with our emeralds?" Bill asked.

Hooray for epilogues!

I'm going to post the author's note where I wrap everything up later today.

The author's note will also explain if there will be a sequel or not.

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote, comment, and follow!
