Jean's Point of View

"I told you the attack was unauthorized," Jean said to Epsilon and Zeta as they left the cavern.

When they reentered Mojang Headquarters, Epsilon said, "How were we supposed to know they had a fire resistance potion?"

"You shouldn't have gone there in the first place," Jean replied. "Now, shoo."

Epsilon, Zeta, and the Silverfish and Cave Spiders left the room and went back to whatever floor they came from.

Jean sighed and sat down at her desk. She couldn't believe those two had deliberately disobeyed her orders and attacked Steve.

But, that was to be expected. One unfortunate side effect of the gold helmets on the leaders was the given ability to think for themselves. Jean had protested when Notch said they should have a commander of each unit, but he didn't listen.

Men.

Once Jean had found out that Epsilon and Zeta had persuaded the portal workers to connect the portal to the cavern underneath Creektown, she had gotten down there as fast as she could. Then she had shot the guy, who listened to the little devils, with her pistol.

It's not like they needed him. Mojang had plenty of portal workers.

Anyway, Jean had entered the portal and called for them to leave. Then she saw that they had actually managed to corner Steve without attracting attention from the Resistance.

So she let them continue.

Of course, Steve and the others had somehow gotten fire resistance, and the Silverfish and Cave Spiders failed. So, she called for a retreat before things got out of hand.

Jean was disappointed in Epsilon and Zeta.

Jean couldn't believe Steve had escaped their clutches yet again. He escaped Jeb's headquarters without even having to fight! Eta the Witch had apparently picked a fight with the bounty hunters and Steve had escaped unnoticed.

Next time, they would catch him.

Anyway, Jean sat at her desk and checked her Minetablet. She had a new message from the Skeleton team.

It said, "We have collected enough Skeletons, Spiders, and Slimes now. They are properly controlled. Shall we attack the Resistance?"

"Not yet," Jean messaged back.

Then she brought her Minetablet with her up to Notch's office. She knocked on his door.

"C-c-c-come in," a scared voice answered.

Jean walked inside. "Sir?" she asked, not seeing him at first. Then she found him.

He was crouched in the corner, hands around his knees. He rocked back and forth, looking terrified. It looked like he hadn't showered since yesterday. And Notch always showered.

The Herobrine incident really took a toll on him. That was expected, since Herobrine had been banished by Notch fifty years ago. Now, he was out for revenge.

But surprisingly, Herobrine hadn't returned to Mojang Headquarters. There were frequent spottings of him throughout the Sectors, but not in the cities.

No one had any idea what the legendary Herobrine was doing. Or how he returned, for that matter.

"Sir, I have good news," Jean said, sitting in her usual seat. This perked Notch up, and he slowly got up and sat in his chair.

"What is it?" he asked.

"The Skeleton, Spider, and Slime units are once again functional," Jean stated. "Should they attack the Resistance?"

"Hmm..." Notch thought about it. Before he could answer, Jean's Minetablet buzzed again. She checked it.

"Even better news!" Jean said, reading the message. "The Creeper unit is also ready! They are all finally obeying."

"Good, good," Notch said. "And what about our little spy?"

Jean checked her Minetablet. There were messages from the spy that Jean hadn't read yet.

"The spy says that the Resistance plans on attacking the power plant in Sector 20 tomorrow," Jean read. "They know our monsters rely on electricity."

Notch thought for a long time. After what seemed like hours, he said, "Let them attack the power plant. And send the Creeper unit there too."

Jean nodded. Before she could say anything, Notch said, "And when the strike team is in Sector 20, we will attack Creektown with the rest of our units."

Meh, shortish chapter. Oh well. By the way, thanks for over 700 reads! I didn't think I'd make it this far.
