Olivia sat in a room with a man who smelled of brimestone and blood, and was commonly referred to as The Dragon. They were in the ruined facilities of a Camp designed to help those with volatile Gifts or those whom had volatile personalities and the Gifts to cause a problem. And by the ruined state of the grounds and several buildings, plus the rotting corpse of some strange creature, it was clearly evident that destructive actions had taken place. The Military was called in on the sly because this Dragon of a man wanted them to try and improve on the security measures that had been in place. Olivia was there as a Distruptor to see if whatever they could arrange could be undone by her Odd Gift. It was a smart tactic to take and one that was boring until the actual trouble started. Still, Olly was a professional so boring or not she stayed in place and waited while the Netter discussed the requirements this new 'Punt' would have to have in place.

It had to be able to detect intentions, not a full Reading of the mind but a way to gauge if the Intake was actually a bigger threat than their file indicated. It had to enforce the perimiter both for access and egress, holding in the Intakes but allowing some Councilors the ability to transition through without imepediment and finally it had to ignore one Councillor in specific because apparently she was so dangerously volatile it would reject her presence immediately. And yet this odd Councillor was still allowed to teach children. Olivia wasn't pain by the Military to question the morals of this Camp, but it seemed like a terrible idea to let someone that everyone fearfully called a Fury to have access to children.

"I'm going to walk the perimiter of what the current Punt contained and see if there is any lingering traces that need to be settled." Olivia finally spoke up to her commanding officer and was given a curt dismissal to go do her job.

Professional curiosity first compelled Olivia to assess the remains that were irregularily decaying on the yard. She didn't recognize the monstrous beast, and wondered if that was a side effect of whatever Gift had put it down or due to the fact that it was so arcane. She was a part of covert teams, hidden amongst the other Gifted, not a strike force member so her exposure to some of the stranger things this world had to offer was sometimes lacking. The Military loved to use the term 'need to know' and Olivia was definitely not on the list of those that needed to know what something was, or how it would have been killed. But even as Olivia walked around the corpse, her own Gift tingled and surged a little, always whenever she stepped over or onto a dried patch of blood. Whomever it was that had bled here was a serious contender in the power department when it came to deadly Gifts. He, she, it or they were probably dead themselves though, judging by the pools and splatters drying all over the place. If this was the latent power in their dead blood though, Olivia was almost sad that she'd never get to meet them in person. Sometimes those with the most exciting Gifts could have the most amusing reactions to Olly's Distruptions.

Olivia walked to what had to be the head of the dead beast and stared at it for a moment longer, wondering what gift it was exactly that had felled the beast before she let the curiosity go and returned to her duty.

Inside the Dragon and Olivia's commanding officer were watching her scan the arena and the perimiter, free to discuss the young woman now that she was out of ear shot. "Her Gift is far more valuble than your people seem to assume. It's really a shame that no one has really tested the limits and adaptability of it." The Dragon rumbled out, his Neutral nature allowing for frank honesty.

"She serves a purpose and her Gift is trained and used as much as the purpose requires. We've had this debate before Doctor Cyr, you help those that desperately need it, I make use of those that we desperately need. Your own Councillor Gideon can probably explain the keen differences to you better than even I could old friend." The officer smiled softly.

"She certainly has seen both sides of that debate. We've had excellent success with the Fury and yet... this summer may have undone some of that hard won progress. She had to revert to truest nature to end that beast and even then..." The Dragon shrugged, respectfully awed from the experience.

"Did you manage to capture footage that I could watch of it? It's been quite some time since anyone has encountered a Maelstrom, let alone a Fury handling it on her own." The Officer requested, intrigued and not bothering to hide the fact.

"I can't in good consciousness do that. For one, Councillor Gideon is still technically a minor, and for another I suspect that your team would spend as much time examining the methods of young Gideon as they would theorize about how to take down the Mael. And I will not help you plot a way to potentially murder one of my Councillors. Gideon is no longer a soldier, and I do not think she would return to being one even if given the opportunity." The Dragon felt less confident in his answer than he sounded. He had taken a great risk in inviting Gideon here and had fought with literal tooth and claw at some stages to get her to grow and change. And it was through the young woman's own experiences that Camp Darkness had now become a place with a reputation as being where even the most volatile stood a chance to reform. She deserved a chance to not be studied, or worse yet, experimented upon.

"I fought against her kind in the war old friend, and although I respect their prowess and vicious efficacy, I do not think for a moment it would be intelligent to try and command it." The officer replied with a smirk. "Furies are a singular act of god that I would not like to be in charge of unleashing." he shook his head. "Those in Olivia's age group are just young enough to not have experienced it for themselves, and are thus lucky and illfated to have them be more boogeyman than true nightmare. I have no question of what would likely happen should I try to incorporate your Gideon in with my troops. A Fury's chaos and madness combined with Olivia's disruption? There is no good that could come of it."

"Just a lot of property distruction and mutilated bodies." Doctor Cyr agreed as they both watched Olivia's Disruption cause Gideon's spilled blood to react. It was glowing. Bad things were already starting to happen.
