The eyes never lie

                                        

                                              
Aditya: It's my fault. I should have protected you well. 
Misha(snuggled in his embrace): It's not your fault, Aditya. 
Aditya: I can't help but blame myself. I should be there for you....when you need me the most. 
Misha melted at his words. 
Misha(in mind): It feels warm when he is around. His presence puts me at ease. I wish I could freeze the moment and stay in this hug forever. 
Aditya(in mind): This is my last hug to you Misha. You have no room for me in your heart. I know you like Adarsh. Adarsh loves you too. I don't want to come between both of you. 
He broke the hug and softly looked at her in the eyes. Her eyes reflected innocence. His eyes reflected longing. He got lost in her eyes. It wasn't just a mere eye contact. 
Misha(in mind): His eyes....they look sad. Why do I feel that he is hiding something? His eyes portray a lot of unsaid emotions. I wish he could give me a chance to understand them. 
They didn't realise another pair of eyes watching them closely and silently.

Yuvaan: Crap! They've lured us here. They've got backup. 
Maahi: How are we supposed to fight more people?
Ayush: We should have called the police. 
Ishaan: It's too late! RIP to us!

In the car
Ren(on call): Yes Kriti, I'm on my way. Don't worry! Don't freak out! I'll be there shortly. 
Ansh: Buddy, I thought we were going out for lunch. We rarely get to hang out. 
Jhanvi: His students probably got into trouble. I heard that he has been alloted a notorious class. It must be so troublesome. 
Ren: They're not that troublesome. 
Jhanvi: What happened this time?
Ren: They got into a fight. 
Ansh(smiled): That's normal for kids. 
Ren: Someone probably got hurt. 
Ansh(laughed): Don't you remember? We were more worse than them. I can't believe that it's already been 10 years. 
Jhanvi: I hated that you used to drag me into your fights. 
Ansh: Obviously! You were one of our best fighters. You had to be one of us. 
Ren: I just hope that they're not hurt. 
Jhanvi: You've changed,Ren. You didn't bother or care much about others, in the past. 
Ansh(grinned): Being a teacher has changed you bro. You're not cold to others anymore. 
Ren: I forgot to ask about your parents. Are you sure you're not going back?
Ansh: I've cut all ties with them. 
Ren: What about your sister? She might have grown up. Aren't you worried about her?
Ansh: I haven't met her for so long. We do talk sometimes. I miss her a lot. She said she doesn't want to move out with me. I respect her decision. 
Ren: I don't like your parents. Why would you leave her with them? They don't deserve to be called 'parents'. 
Ansh(sighed): Let's not talk about it right now. I'm still figuring it out. 
....
Ayush: What should we do now?
Ishaan: We need to take Adarsh and Aanya to the hospital. They're hurt. 
Aadya: We won't be able to get out of here. Why hasn't the police arrived yet?
Manya: They're still on their way. They don't have a chopper. 
Maahi(sweating profusely): You're still in the mood to joke. 
Adarsh: Adi, do you have a plan?
Aditya: I've asked Kriti for help. Let's see. 
Adarsh: No one wonder I thought one of us was missing. 
Aditya glared at him. 
Boy: No one can save you now!!!!
Jhanvi: Is that so?
Everyone turned to look at her. 
Ren: What's going on, Aditya?
Aditya: I'll explain to you later, sir. We need to escape from here first. We can't fight them.
Ansh: Who said we can't?!
Ren: Ansh, let's get them out from here. 
Boy: Even though you're older, I won't show you any respect. 
The boy drew out his knife. It led to another fight. Ansh took his defensive stance and dodged all the attacks. 
Jhanvi: I haven't fought for so long. 
Ansh: You're still as energetic as before. I don't think they'll be able to last long. 
Aditya and Adarsh looked at each other and joined them in the fight. A few minutes later the police arrived and arrested the culprits. The police questioned all of them. Ren came to know about Misha's incident. Aditya narrated the whole incident and gave his statement to the officers. He looked at Misha who seemed a bit shaken. She looked at Adarsh who was getting his wounds treated. There was one thing that went unnoticed by all. It was the way Adarsh looked at Aanya. Something had changed in him. His eyes held admiration for her.

Officer: Mister Ren, we'll have to involve the school. The group chat involves NSFW stuffs and many other students are involved in it. There might be more victims. 
Ren: Sure sir! I'll ask the Principal. We're more than ready to co-operate. What about the culprits?
Officer: We cannot detain them at the moment. But, I'll make sure they receive their punishment.
....
Officer: Is that all? 
Aditya: Yes! Any more questions, sir?
Officer: No! You may go.
Aditya was about to go when....
Officer: And.....Aditya, let's discuss this at home. 
Aditya: Sure dad!
