It was a week before the full moon, and Harry and Draco were invited over for Family Dinner Night at the Weasley home. Draco felt a lot better about going, now. They flooed over and Draco was assaulted by the smells. Weasley and Granger were in the den, too.
"Harry! Draco!" Hermione said, and she came to give Harry a hug. She paused and offered it to Draco, who, though surprised, accepted it.
"Thank you," he whispered. Her scent was kind and concerned.
"No problem, Draco," his packmember replied. He felt happy in that assessment. Even Weasley smelled like he was familiar... accepted. He offered a handshake to him, which he also accepted.
"Oh! There's Draco and Harry," Aunt Molly said, coming out of the kitchen. She went to Draco first, lightly patting his shoulders and touching his chin. "And how are you?"
"I'm better, Aunt Molly. Thank you for the invite."
"Pish posh. You are always welcome. Harry dear, good to see you as well. It looks like you're taking care of him," she said.
"I try," he said.
"Good. I'm glad you came, but dinner's about to be served! Come in and sit down."
She led them to the kitchen, and he sat next to her. They ate dinner and Aunt Molly tried to get him to speak up more. He was handling it better than last time. The older Weasley children, Bill and Charlie, weren't there. Fleur also didn't come, so the scents weren't as convoluted. After dinner, Draco went with Blaise outside alone. He could feel Harry watching him for any issues.
"How's it going? You seem better," Blaise asked.
"I am a lot better. It was too soon last time," he said, looking at the garden. He wondered if he was safe here. The Weasleys were sure to have ward lines.
"It's not anymore?"
Draco snorted. "It's still hard, but I'm not as... scared."
"That's good. What about your wand? Harry did give it to you, right?" Blaise asked pointedly, and Draco went cold.
"I'm... well... I don't... I can't...."
"Hey... calm down! I'm sorry I brought it up," Blaise said, concerned.
Draco was surprised that he didn't know. Granger must not have told everyone, but he couldn't have Blaise keep asking about it, or worse, he didn't know that Draco couldn't defend himself. His magic was gone and it wasn't coming back. Of course, Blaise was quite the Dark Arts master, as was his mother.
"Blaise, Greyback... he took my magic," Draco admitted, not meeting his eyes.
Blaise looked at him. "What? He can't...."
"He did, Blaise. He branded me with an ancient Celtic binding mark. No magic or transformations. I-I didn't even fully turn at the full moon."
Blaise's mouth dropped, and he gapped at him for a minute. "No... Draco... I... was it sealed?"
Draco snorted. If Granger was Harry's go-to person, Blaise was his. "Yes. The doctor is looking into it, but everyone says that I'm fucked. It's permanent, and it will magically heal itself if it's cut off."
"I'll see what I can find on it. I'm so sorry, Draco. Fucking hell! I wish that fucker hadn't died so quick!" he hissed.
Draco looked at the ground, again. He should probably tell him everything. "He... did... something else, too."
Blaise was watching him, waiting. He smelled concerned and angry – ready to protect, like Harry. He would do anything for him.
"He gave me a potion before the full moon. A Male Gestation Potion," he whispered, keeping his head lowered in shame. Blaise knew what had been done to him, even if he didn't witness it happening like Harry, Granger and Weasley did.
Blaise's scent went rapidly from shock, to confusion, then denial, and back to shock. Finally, his anger came back, but he controlled his voice. "You're... pregnant?"
Draco nodded, still not willing to look at him.
"What the fuck... Draco... I-I'm sorry. I can't even begin to... imagine what you're going through. What... what are you going to do?"
"I... want to keep it," he murmured.
"That's a hard decision to make, Draco."
"It's mine... and Harry... he says that he'll support me."
Blaise smelled curious then and happy for some reason. "I'm sure Potter will."
Draco cautiously raised his eyes to look at Blaise. "What do you mean?"
Blaise chuckled. "You and Potter never could take your eyes off each other. He's watching us, ya know? I thought he was being a bit overprotective last month."
Draco nodded. "I feel safe with him."
"Just safe?" Blaise said, doubt in his voice and smell.
"Not just. He always takes care of me. He'll go to war for me."
"He'll die for you. He loves you, you idiot," Blaise murmured. "Do you love him?"
Draco smiled and nodded slightly, "We haven't talked about it."
"Color me surprised," he joked. "I'll help too, Draco. You know that, right?"
"I know."
"If you and Potter have a marital spat, please come to me? I'm living with...."
"The twins. Showers will not hide everything, Blaise," he grunted.
Blaise laughed. "Obviously not, but I can find you a safe house. We're living above their shop, and Harry's floo has access. Floo powder doesn't need magic."
"Thanks. Do you really... like both of them?" he asked, curious. He didn't like when the wolves went in... both ways. He tensed up, briefly, before taking a deep breath.
Blaise was watching him, concerned. "I do. It's consensual, and that means everything to me and them. I'm sorry if it's... triggering for you."
"I'm okay, I think. I understand that it's different, but those were the worst nights for me. If I made him angry... he'd throw me outside for the pack to have."
Blaise smell turned bitter and sad. "I'm sorry, Draco. It's not as... violent... if it's done right."
Draco nodded. "Harry's worried. I can smell him from out here."
"Potter does smell," Blaise joked. "I'll see what I can find on binding marks, Draco. I haven't researched it beyond Binn's class."
They headed back inside. Draco told Harry that Blaise knew. They went upstairs into Ron's old room and actually played Exploding Snap like they were kids.
"Beat ya again, Malfoy," the ginger said.
"That's what you think, Weasley!" Draco said, and landed a clutch card on top of his.
"What! Malfoy's cheating!"
"He did not, Ron," Hermione said, laughing.
Draco felt happy and safe. This was his pack, now. Even when Ginny and Luna came in, he felt like that they were his packmates. He looked to the Alpha... his mate, who was watching him, ensuring that he was happy. He wasn't like his old Alpha. He was stronger... and kinder. His wolf was happy. He could bring his cub into the world safely.
Draco shook his head, and the wolf quieted down. His unconscious thoughts were becoming more and more conscious. Especially since all he wanted to do was press against his mate and breathe in his scent.
When they went home and went to bed, Draco did just that. He didn't need to bite Harry. He would never. They would stay happy without the mate bond... that's what he tried to tell himself anyway.
If you didn't notice, I commissioned a new cover. Since I've had a few people reach out, I'm not commissioning any more. If you want to contribute art or a photo, comment or write it on my board. But I'm not rolling in money to pay for anymore. I support that artists should be paid for their work, but I spent a couple hundred already for the art I got for this 온라인카지노게임 and it's all I'm willing to spend right now.
