Gavin and Rimmon were still glaring at each other, and the annoyed tension between then could have caused sparks to fly in the air if they weren't both behaving themselves. Right now neither one could afford to fly off the handle, too much depended on them working together, even if they wanted to murder each other.
"What do you mean she's gone?" Gavin asked Coyote, cell phone pressed to his ear.
"Exactly what it sounds like Gavin. She's not in her apartment, her car isn't in the parking lot and there's some evidence that she's not planning on coming back right away inside her home." Coyote said, sighing into the phone, as if he knew this was gonig to happen.
"Do you think she's running again?" Gavin asked, knowing Coyote would understand what he meant.
"Could be. But.... not sure yet. Grab Rimmon and meet me here at her place. Even if she's not here, it's a better place to discuss this than a coffee shop ever will be." Coyote commanded and even though they were no where near the Neutral, both Angel and Demon felt the command wrap around them through the phone, compelling them to go to Dumb Coyote's location.

Lone was tapping on the steering wheel without any trace of rhythm. It seemed to be just an expression of her agitation, as was the way she was chewing her lip fussing with the radio knobs every few minutes. Anything to keep her mind off of it.
She was going absolutely, stark raving mad. It ran in the family, all she had to do was remember her father to know that. Shaking her head and refusing to feel the frustration and fear held just at bay, Lone pressed her foot down harder on the pedal, hoping that maybe some distance from the city would help her maddness quiet down. Once the boys had left, she'd lost what little hold on reality she'd maintained thus far.
There was somthing wrong with her, a sickness that seemed to be building up inside her. Those nightmares.... it made her shudder just to think about them. She'd had some bad dreams in her time, but these felt positively abhorrent. And the sensations she experienced in them stuck with her, like an oily film clinging to her skin, refusing to wash clean. Feeling the mad joy of killing someone, ripping them to pieces.... Lone hadn't even felt that when she killed her father and it disturbed her to be feeling it over a nightmare.
But worse than that was the moment that Gavin and Rimmon had vanished, even though she wanted them gone, she missed them. It had felt like a physical blow to find them gone and it hut to not have them near her. Which is when she decided to run. And as she was running, she felt the sickness inside her get excited at the concept of chasing something down. As if she were about to go after fleeing prey.

Gavin stared down at the island he'd seen her sitting on just earlier today. But now everything looked different. She had run from him. He didn't need any other proof than seeing her cell phone abandoned where she'd been sitting, clear evidence that she really didn't want anyone contacting her. His Lone didn't want to stay in this life with him. And he wished he could offer her any kind of life approaching normal, but if the Guardian Angel was honest with himself, he had to admit that this was as close to life with him would get to being normal. Being in lovewith someone didn't automatically make you the best thing for them.
"Oh for the love of me, snap out of it!" Rimmon shook the Guardian Angel, snapping him out of his depressing reverie and bringing his anger flooding right to the surface. Without really thinking about it, Gavin lashed out at the Demon and they inevitably tumbled into a brawl once more.
Dumb Coyote just stood out of the way and sighed, half tempted to just let them murder each other. It would make his protege's life far easier, but he knew it would devastate her too. So when blood started to flow, he pulled them apart, inwardly cringing because he felt too old for this. "How is this helping Lone? Or have you two already forgotten about her in your desire to throttle each other?" he asked cruelly, knowing how both creatures felt about Lone. It was an impossible situation, but apparently the universe felt that Coyote needed a little impossible in his life right now.
His words made both Angel and Demon settle into an almost sullen silence. Every now and then the Neutral felt like he was babysitting children or trying to herd cats. "I'm gonig to tell you the 온라인카지노게임 of how I got my name." he stated, surprising both Others.
"It started with your Arc Gabriel and ended with me becoming a Neutral." Coyote settled on Lone's couch, comfortable with being in her home even while she wasn't. The Angel pulled himself onto the island, sitting as Lone usually did, needing the opportunity to feel close to her. He didn't care about the Neutral's name or how he got it, he needed to go after her. But the old man's will held him in place so he stayed quiet to listen.
"My first encounter with your kinds happened while I was high as a kite during the 60's. I thought it was the most groovey acid trip of my life, right up until a Descended tried to take a big bite out of me." Coyote smiled at the memory, not in the least bit ashamed to be admitting that he was a hippie and yet also a pugilist*
"To my great astonishment, while I stared at this... thing trying to suck the skin of my leg away, a man in the mirror started to tell me what to do. Your Gabriel came to my rescue." Coyote pointed at Gavin. The Angel was more than surprised by this news. Gabriel wasn't a Guardian, so why had he been protecting Coyote? "I didn't believe any of it was real, even then I thought I was likely just having a bad trip and would wake up in the hospital or the morgue. It didn't matter to me then."
"How in the name of all things evil and decrepit is this supposed to matter?" Rimmon interrupted, tone bored and annoyed. He was jittery, evidenced in his incessant pacing. The Demon wouldn't admit it to anyone, not himself, the voices of his brethren and especially not out loud, but he was as anxious to go find Lone as the Angel was. And for entirely the same reasons. She. Was. His. The Demon wasn't capable of realizing that he was in love with the mortal yet, but it was a seed germinating in the back of his mind.
"Because I fought against the belief and understanding. Even with the creature on my leg, killing me, I refused to accept my role in this new, strange world. I tried to run inside my own head and the thing on my leg nearly killed me." Coyote explained patiently. "When a coyote is trapped, they will gnaw their own limbs off at a chance of freedom. Here I was, trapped and yet I was so dumb, I all but gnawed off the wrong limb. I chose that name to remind myself that no matter what, I am here for a purpose." he looked at the two opposites in front of him.
"Lone is running from all of this. Something had to have pushed her to this and I do not think it was solely your faults." he held up a hand to forstall the objections both men were about to voice. "Don't. Some of this is each of your faults. You should both know better, and yet here you are making this harder for her. We will be going after her, all of us. It's gonig to take all of us to stop this Twisted and that means as much as I would love to help her get over you both, I can't. Duty compells me to help you both hunt her down." Coyote's tone expressed how much he detested the need.
There was a knock at the apartment door, hesitant and soft. A moment later there was a much harder, more authoritative knock. Frowning, Gavin went for the door as he was the closest. Opening it up, he was shocked to find a timid looking Belle and an irritated looking Gabriel staring at him. Belle offered Gavin an apologetic smile and handed over a slip of paper.
Belly,
I'm going to be out of town for a while, please don't worry. There's something wrong that I need to take care of before I can come back, but I promise you I will try to let you know I'm alright. I love you little sister. Don't trust Gavin or Rimmon, or anyone saying they're friends of theirs. I know you thought I trusted them, and I'm sorry but there's seriously bad things going down right now and I can't let them pull you into it. I owe you a mega explanation when I get back. Don't tell them I plan on returning, I hope that they'll leave you alone if I'm not around. I'd tell you to be good but there's no fun in that so be safe instead.
Lone
Gavin looked up from the paper to see Arc Angel Gabriel starting down at him, a scowl on his face. It was evident that Gabriel had been with Belle when she found the paper, or else none of them would have ever learned about it. Which meant that the Arc Angel was coercing the poor mortal to help them. The Guardian Angel realized in that moment just how dire things were to force the Arc Angel to act like a monster.
