But she is different, too brave, too stubborn, too warm. She defies him in small ways, questions him in ways no one else dares, and looks at him as though he's a man, not a monster. Slowly, unwillingly his carefully built walls begin to crack.
She's terrified of him but can't help being drawn to the lonely, broken part of him he doesn't even know exists.
