THE REFLECTION OF THE MOON GLISTENED IN BRIETTA'S EYES, tears cascading down her rosy cheeks as she chewed on her nails until they were shortened too far and sent spikes of pain through her.
               The six-year-old girl wanted to cry herself a river and drown herself in it due to this pit of uselessness inside of her. The frigid atmosphere chilled her cheeks while she took deep breaths. "Breathe, Brie." She inhaled deeply before glancing up at the moon, which was at its richest point.
               The last thing she saw was the moon before her eyes fluttered shut as her chest rose in an attempt to soothe herself. She loathed this sickening silence inside her head. Her quivering hands rose to her ears while she whimpered, her legs dangling off the edge of the hospital roof.
               Clang!
               Brietta gasped, jumping in her spot, nearly falling off the roof until she pushed herself back. She peered over her shoulder and her eyebrows furrowed once she caught sight of a boy with puffy cheeks strolling out of the door leading to the roof. A second later, another boy followed behind him.
