He had trouble speaking to people, worried about how they'd judge him.. He'd rather sit in the hidden alcove of the astronomy tower alone with his Niffler, away from people who glared at him for protecting magical creatures. Bring Draco Malfoy into the picture; loud, cunning, ambitious and, not to mention, quite good looking. He was in Slytherin house with someone Newt was growing to know - Leta Lestrange. From first year, Newt had noticed Draco. Noticed he seemed to only have three or four friends, Leta one of them, and always got his way. By fourth year, while they were fourteen years old, Draco was placed into the Triwizard Tournament. Throughout fourth year and onward, Draco began to take a liking to Newt - as Newt did towards him. The two begin a friendship - a rocky, disastrous friendship that, in coming years, turns into something beautiful, something like a thunderstorm. It was intriguing, fast-paced and all they to wanted was each other.
