How I Survived (A Zombie Apocalypse Story)

I used to be that kid who was obsessed with everything zombie- and boy do I mean obsessed. I owned every zombie movie that had ever been created- from classics like 'Dawn of the Dead,' to crappy indie films that you've probably never heard of, to blockbusters like 'World War Z.' My favorite TV series was 'The Walking Dead,' and you bet your ass I went to every single 'Walker Fest' they ever had. I met Norman Reedus twice, Andy Lincoln once, and Chandler Riggs was my first kiss. (I may or may not have snuck into his trailer, and he may or may not have thought I was cute for it). Zombies were my life. I loved them. If Zombiology was a profession, I would have a PHD in it. But honestly, I would've preferred if the undead had stayed on the big screen. My name is Tessa Adams, and this is how I survived. *Not a TWD fanfiction. Freebird || The Walking Dead

Freebird Jade Dixon, or more commonly known as simply Jade Dixon, was roaming the backwoods of Virginia a day before the Apocalypse started. An off duty officer found her, and since she was a young runaway, she was immediately swept away to the nearest police station. Unable to locate her father (she had known there was no way in hell they'd find that good-for-nothing redneck), she must stay the night in a locked cell with four other juvenile delinquents. They're all in there for a varying degree of crime, from petty theft to alleged murder. But when morning comes, and the police have all turned into the undead, they must stick together, trust each other, and make it out alive. Follow the Story of Freebird Dixon, and how she and her small band of teenage criminals face the apocalypse together. (TWD characters will come after the first few chapters, I promise!)
