he sang, the outro of his song still playing. he looked over at grace as he held his guitar & she sang backup into the mic.

the music stopped & finn nodded his head, "so guys... i have something to say." he paused for a moment as the bar got quiet, "i shaved my head."

the people laughed at him stating the obvious as he tuned his guitar. "uh, yeah. thank you so much for coming out, atlanta." he said, realizing he had just played his last song for the night.

he had been to so many cities within the last two weeks, but he was happy to be back in atlanta with his friends to play some shows.

he put his guitar down & him & grace went off stage to meet maggie. some of the people decided they were going to leave, cause half of them came to see finn.

some stayed & one of those people were y/n.
the girl was sat at the bar, enjoying the show but once it was over she decided to stay awhile & text her friend.

the girl laugh reacted at her friends message & went to browse thru tiktok.
she had no idea the boy would be here tonight.
she just came to get a little drink or two cause she was going thru a break up, but she decided to stay for the show.

"wanna get a drink before we head out?" maggie asked the other two. finn nodded, "i wouldn't mind grabbing something."

finn, grace & maggie walked up to the bar & y/n could feel the tall boy beside her. she got nervous & avoided eye contact but she could feel her face heat up. three really cool people were next to her.

"hey man, you got any beer?" she heard finn ask from her right side.
the bartender nodded & started making his drink.

beer? the girl thought, you don't seem like a beer drinker.

she watched from the corner of her eye as the bartender handed finn his drink while grace & maggie told him their drinks.

y/n heard. the voice sounded calm & polite, very familiar. she looked up from her phone then over to him, eyebrows raised as she gave a hum in response.

finn gave a light smile, pointing past her, "can you hand me a few coasters please?"

she nodded "sure."

internally she was a little freaked out. did finn wolfhard actually just speak to me? like a normal person?

she reached over & grabbed three coasters for them to use while the bartender handed grace & maggie their drinks.

"thank you." he smiled at her, "what are you drinking?" he looked down at her fruity drink.

to say the girl was stunned was an understatement, she was completely in shock but trying to play it cool.

"o-oh it's a strawberry daiquiri." she stuttered, but smiled when she saw finn nod & smile back at her.

"yeah i've heard those are good, never tried a daiquiri before."

she nodded before telling him that they're good, leading to a small silence between them. grace peeked around finn & looked at the girl, then down at her hands, "oh my god your rings are so cute!"

this caused finn to look down at the girls rings, noticing a specific one. "frog ring? sweet." he told her, looking closer at it. "i love frogs."

me too, the girl thought. but turns out she said it out loud cause finn looked at her like he was very intrigued, "that's sick."

"how old are you?" maggie asked.

y/n shrugged & smiled, she gets asked this question a lot cause she looks young for her age. "i'm twenty-two. i promise i can drink."

this caused the three of them to laugh, "finn's twenty-two, too." grace said, "don't worry we won't tell anybody." finn smirked comically while holding his hands out & looking over at his friends, then back at her.

wow he's actually a little easy to talk to.

"so," he started, "are you gonna ask for a picture or freak out or something?" he asked her.

his words were playful but his face got a little serious, a hint of sarcasm in there somewhere.
he got that interaction a lot. why wasn't this girl falling at his feet & pleading for his time of day?

y/n shook her head, "dude i didn't even know you were gonna be here tonight."

grace & maggie made a shocked face, like the girl had just told finn off but then they started laughing at him. "that deflated his ego."

finn raised his eyebrows & moved his head back, "my bad... didn't know the world didn't revolve around me," he joked.

"no, no i totally know who you are." y/n assured. "i just don't really like to bother people. it was a really good show though."

looking back at his two friends, finn smiled. this was a bit... unusual.

nine times out of ten if you were a girl, you were up finn's ass. but not y/n & that kind of caught finn's attention. just a chick at the bar, on her phone.

"thank you." he grinned.

it had been hours after the show & grace & maggie decided to head to their apartment since it was getting late.

over the past few hours a couple of people came up to finn, asking for a photo which would interrupt his conversation with y/n.

yes the two stayed behind & decided to chat some more. the boy wouldn't admit it to his friends but he was very interested at y/n at this point, or maybe it was the alcohol. all he knew was that a girl his age was talking to him, & he wasn't nervous at all.

she hadn't asked too much information about him, she just let it come up into the conversation naturally & finn loved that.

"so what brought you here tonight if you didn't know i was gonna be here?"
