After three years, Zayn Malik has finally released his sophomore album, Icarus Falls. The 29-track project, released on July 9, 2019, marks a departure from his debut Mind of Mine, showing a more vulnerable and emotional side of the singer.

But beyond the music itself, one question quickly took over social media: How much of the album was inspired by his past relationship with Vienna Prescott?

Unlike Mind of Mine, a sensual driven debut released in 2016, Icarus Falls covers raw emotion and personal details. This shift in mood has led fans to speculate that the album showcases the change of dynamic of Malik and Prescott's relationship, from passion to heartbreak.
