"Veritaserum? They've been using Veritaserum on you?" Hermione said, in shock.
Harry straightened up. "Four times... at least... more I imagine in interrogation. They wiped all of that, didn't they?"
"I guess. I don't remember getting interrogated," Draco whispered.
"Wiped? The Memory Charms, then?" Daphne whispered.
"Draco... can I ask you about what happened after you were arrested?"
Draco lowered his head. "I... remember them taking me away... waiting in a cell, tired. It's... there wasn't anything.... I just remember being afraid and hopeless, but I think that was the Draught of Despair."
"Draught of Despair? Oh, Merlin, that's nasty stuff," Hermione said.
Harry nodded. "Draco... I need to know something. If you knew, would you have told them who the other Death Eaters were?"
Draco lifted his head up, anger lining his face. "Of course, I would have! Do you have any idea what those assholes did to people... to my mother?"
"Okay... okay... it's just... you were at the meetings, Draco. You knew who they were, right?" Harry asked and Draco's face crumpled in confusion and then fell.
"They took it out," Draco said, dropping his shoulders.
"It's still in your head, Draco," Hermione said. "And for the amount they took... they couldn't have put a strong block on it. You'd be... umm... mentally impaired if they did. We might be able to break it."
Draco nodded, but didn't seem to believe her. Harry wasn't sure either. They'd be fishing for memories that they hadn't seen or knew about and wouldn't be useful as evidence, as anyone could claim that his memories could have been tampered with it.
"Draco... we could..." Harry began. "We'll figure it out."
Daphne leaned forward and said, "But... one thing... Draco... you told me once that you had proof against them... the Death Eaters? Do you remember that?"
Draco shook his head and frowned. "I don't."
"Do you know what you could have had?" Harry asked.
"No," Draco said, trembling.
"Harry... why don't we save the interrogation for later?" Luna said, from behind Draco.
He looked at her. Harry knew that Draco's connection to her had run deep. He even told Umbridge that he was linked to her, whatever that meant. He nodded, trusting her judgment on the matter.
"I'm going to talk about what happened tonight, is that okay, Draco?" Harry asked.
His cautious, emotionally drained eyes looked at him and he nodded.
"Your mum told me something when I visited her, Draco. That you have a good week and then you have a bad week. I took me that to figure out she was right. I always assumed that it was just mood swings... coincidence. But your bad weeks always started on Tuesday... every other Tuesday. When you had your probation meeting...."
Draco lowered his head. Harry guessed that Draco thought that he was chiding him, and Harry knelt down in front of him.
"I'm so sorry that I didn't notice it sooner."
"It's not your fault," he whispered.
"It's not yours, either, Draco. She had no right to do that."
"Who's she?" Hermione asked, quietly.
"Umbridge..." Draco whispered.
"Umbridge!" several voices chimed, all in various amounts of shock and disgust.
