Malcolm and West were nearly identical in their angry posture. Shoulders and arms bunched up, forearms corded and fists clenched. Neither one was the kind of man who was used to backing down, and both sometimes only wore the mask of civility to go unnoticed. West wondered if he had pushed his once adpotive brother too far somehow.
"Yo voy a pedir a Alicia que se case conmigo. Me compré el anillo de hoy." Malcolm stated and West almost let the next wave knock him over in his shock. (I'm going to ask Alice to marry me. I bought the ring today.)
"S***. Good for you." West's boy relaxed and he smirked at his friend.
Malcolm shrugged, a little uncomfortable now that the anger was gone. His nerves were evident, as if he could ever doubt that the fiesty squaw would say yes! "You and Salali are the closest things she has to family." Malcolm walked with him to the shore, both grabbing resort towels and drying off.
"Are you asking my permission?" West asked, amused now that the anger passed. He could feel it dancing in his blood still, the need to burn off this excess energy powerful and driving.
"Dumba**." Malcolm laughed softly. But West could see the tenseness in the other man's eyes. He really was nervous about it.
"Bro, she'll say yes. Take care of her though or I'll have to kill you." West fist bumped the older man and they both laughed, friendship restored.
Speaking of the soon to be fiancee, West spotted Malcolm's bride catching up with her friends, hand taped. He wandered over, bumping her with his shoulder. "Earth to Alice. You sure you're ok?" he asked. She snapped right back to reality and he could tell she was fine, just day dreaming. Satisfied, he let her drift off with her friends and went to sit with Romeo and some of the other drama guys.
As Maddison walked by, someone dropped their tray elsewhere and the bulk of the eating mass looked over, so West took the risk, shot his hand out and gently pulled Maddison down onto the seat next to him. His girlfriend flushed a rosy pink colour as he refused to let go of her hand under the table, weaving their fingers together where the table cloth hid it from view. God he wanted to kiss her right now, could almost taste the sunscreen chap stick she had on her lips to keep them from peeling. He decided to plan something big for her day off. He'd find a way to sneak off with her and tell her he loved her and make it a day in paradise to make up for the s*** she's put up with about his past.
"Estoy enamorado de ti." he said under his breath, knowing she wouldn't understand the words. (I'm in love with you).
Before he could make a bigger fool of himself and get caught moon eyeing over his teacher, West was interrupted by an out of breath Justine. "There's a show inland tonight that we might be able to go see because Mr. Vega said he might consider taking us over but only if we get enough people to go would you guys like to come?" she asked, all in one breath.
West blinked and nodded, for once grateful for having three sisters. He had learned to descipher girl-talk long ago out of self defence. Romeo nodded the moment West did but none of the other guys had caught what she said and Maddison just looked flabbergasted.
"Off island trip tonight with Vega." West explained. Maddison hid her disappointed look, knowing that she'd have to stay here if Malcolm was going. West stroked the back of her hand, silently promising to make it up to her later. She seemed to understand the promise from his fingertips and blushed a bright crimson. Her fingers twisted up to stroke the palm of his hand and he smirked, knowing that no matter what time he returned at, she'd be waiting for him.
He was trying to think up a way to seperate Maddison from the crowds for some alone time now since they'd been able to see and not touch each other all day. And his brilliant Angel figured it out for him. "Alright guys, I won't keep you any longer. Mr. James, I think Ms. Spade wanted to go over show details?" Maddison tilted her head. West nodded and knew that Alice would back up the lie if ever needed. So the pair headed out, noticing that Alice and crew had already left. But of course they never found her, somehow on the way to ask her to cover for them, Maddison and West found themselves at Maddison's hut instead.
It was a good memory to take with him as he had to spend the bulk of the night watching men trying to dry hump his female friend and Malcolm struggle not to murder innocents or reveal his relationship with the sultry Alice. West didn't even dance because the only one he really wanted to dance with was his girl and she was way back on the island. In fact the night was a bust for him after he left Maddison's side because he could honestly say that the highlight of the night was seeing that blonde b**** Lexi get ditched by her friends and rescued by Alice. That was a great 온라인카지노게임 to kill time on the ferry back. And then he could rest, knowing his Angel was safe in his arms.
