Gideon was in intake five's group room, paitently waiting for them to find their way back. Lunch had ended ten minutes ago and she figured they were only just realizing that she might not be there to bring them back. Let the little lambikins come home to mama. Gideon leaned back on the fireplace, sitting on the low front mantle and kicking her foot into the air.
It was another five minutes before the first of them scrabbled through the front door. Gideon didn't bother hiding her grin when she saw the kitty girl Luna here first. Leaning forward, Gideon beconed her lycanthrope inductee forward. "I knew it'd be you." She pointed at a piece of paper taped to the wall. It said DAY 1 PREDICTION: Luna 1st Virigl 2nd Trinity 3rd/4th Ebony 3rd/4th Luc 5th/6th Ankou 5th/6th. Luna blinked her large, amazingly beautiful cat eyes in shock.
"You-you thought I'd beat the rest?" her voice sounded stunned, her clearly low self worth evident in her shock.
"Yes Swiftfang, I knew that you were the one with the skill to return first. You do have that in you, even though you seem to fight against it so much." Gideon patted the low mantle next to her, indicating for cat girl to sit. She settled with painfully obvious timidity, as if expecting a loud lecture. Gideon smiled, figuring that this girl had sat through much more impressive speeches than Gideon could ever hope to emulate. "You followed my scent back, didn't you?"
Luna nodded, a smile stretching her broad lips. The girls ears and tail perked up too, obviously proud, and yet Gideon knew she had such self loathing inside that she refused to acknowledge her sometimes more animalistic needs to the point that she throws up after eating normal food, snaps and binges on the neighbor. Twice.
"You smell like honey warmed under the sun." Luna's voice was soft, and she looked at her feet.
"Cool, I kinda like that." Gideon smirked, hearing someone else come in. Two for two, her convict walked in.
"You're such a bitch. Could have at least told us to maybe pay attention to the way back." he mouthed off.
"Love you too princess." Gideon replied, tone sarcastic.
He looked away from her flat gaze and grunted when he saw the list on the wall. An eyebrow shot up as he saw himself listed second to the lycanthtope. Though truth be told the kitty had an advantage with that snoze of hers. He'd simply felt for the one person whose emotions he was violently hurtled away from. It only took a little walking and in his head triangulation to narrow it down beyond a sort of thattaway feeling.
"How did you even know I'd come back? What if I'd chosen to break parole and make for Mexico?" Virgil took one of the single seats, leaving the couch that seats four and a love seat and a single seat for the others. None of the furniture matched, and there was some evidence of hard living on each. From scorch marks to possible blood stains and one inexplicably BLUE corner on the beige chair.
Gideon shrugged. "I'll get into that once the rest of intake five gets back." she deflected casually. Virgil scowled at her and snatched the tv remote off a beat up table, clicking the tv on. Gideon smirked as the screen flickered to life, showing a blue screen with a very clear message on it: Councillor Passcode Required.
"What the f*ck? Are you shitting me?" the empath demanded and Gideon felt the bite of his anger flare against her skin until she shut him off.
He grunted, surprised when his empathy stopped projecting, and in fact stopped entirely. Gideon smiled at him as he gaped at her. Probably for the first time in years the convict wasn't able to feel the moods of the people around him, wasn't able to manipulate their moods to suit his needs."How?" his voice was gruff.
Gideon raised her eyebrow and shrugged again, staring the convict down. Much to his evident surprise, he broke the eyecontact first. She was saved from having to voice a verbal response by the vampire and the witch coming in, looking irritated and flustered.
