Harry squeezed him tightly. They talked about practice from the night before and Harry's upcoming match in a week against Ron's favorite team, the Cannons.
"Does that mean Weasley cheers for the other team?" he joked.
"Yep... at least once a year," Harry laughed, but then he frowned. "Ginny and I have a small dedicated box for our friends and family. Six seats... and one day... when you are... umm... want to come... maybe... but I mean... Ron and Hermione come to every game, but the others are different... umm... each time...."
"Harry, please stop rambling. If you are inviting me to come watch you play, I'd love to. If you don't want to... reveal me to your family... I'll understand. I can buy a normal seat in the crowd, you know? But... maybe I need to emphasize this more... it's your decision on whether you tell your family about me or not."
Harry looked at him. "You're not... out, though."
"There's no one to come out to, Harry. My flatmates know, Blaise and Theo know. My parents know."
"But the rest of the wizarding world doesn't. You know what coming out... with me will be like?"
"A glorious rendition of my Death Eater hi온라인카지노게임 and criminal dealings, as well as a call to form a brute squad to hang me, probably."
Harry leaned back to stare at him.
"It's probably going to be accurate, but listen, my love... you are worth all that. I know what I did. I feel remorse for the things I did... and didn't do, but I'm willing to face all the hatred and backlash if that means I get to be in your life. You are worth it."
Harry cried a little and hugged him, again. "I just... I don't want you to get hurt."
"It's not for certain that I would, Harry. People didn't know about my preferences because there were more important things to worry about during the war. I never cared. My friends knew about it at school, and they kept it to themselves. But I was more talking about you letting your family know about me... before they pay a surprise visit... like Granger did."
"Oh... if you want..." Harry muttered.
"It's what you want, or at least warn everyone to announce their arrival, if you want to keep me secret."
"I don't want to keep you... secret."
"Then... what's the problem?"
"Ron."
Draco nodded. "I owe him a rather large apology. I can send it via post before that happens if that would help?"
"You don't have to do that!"
"I should have done that a long time ago," Draco murmured. "I'm sorry if this will put you at ends with him."
"I... I don't think so, but it's hard to say. He's pretty happy with his life. Like I said... I'm just worried about you getting hurt."
"It's not all on you, Harry. Weasley or anyone else doesn't have the right to hurt me physically, anyway. If he doesn't accept my apology then... we'll go from there. You still have to live your life. But forget it, for now. We're going to go out and have fun. So, relax, Harry. We'll save the theatrics for another day," he said, kissing Harry.
Harry giggled, and they cuddled for the rest of the train ride to Dover. Draco led the way to the boat launch area, and within thirty minutes, the boat heaved to and set sail. There weren't many people on the boat, as it was a bit chilly on this weekday. Harry looked apprehensive from the ship rocking in the waves.
"It's been awhile since I was on a boat... and t-they w-were all s-s-small," Harry said, stuttering.
Draco looked at him and realized that Harry was cold. Draco had his big leather jacket and hat on. Harry probably wouldn't risk a Warming Charm in front of muggles. Draco brought him inside the cabin area under the fo'c'sle. There was a small teller with a display case of souvenirs for the tourists. Draco bought Harry a nice hoodie and fleece cap, and he then carefully pulled the cap over his head, followed by the hoodie. He nearly knocked his glasses off, but Harry pushed them back onto his face.
Harry looked at the black hoodie front and laughed.
It said, "The Cliffs of Insanity!" and had a picture of the white cliffs of Dover on it.
"Really?" Harry said, smiling.
Draco kissed him. "Got to keep you warm, love."
"Aww..." said the clerk.
They went back out and watched as the cliffs came into view. They really were breathtaking. Harry held on to him as he looked at them, teary-eyed as he wasn't used to seeing beautiful, scenic things in his life. Draco kissed his head.
"You deserve everything, Harry," he whispered.
As the boat made the U-turn to head back, they went to the stern to watch the cliffs as they grew more distant.
"G'Day Governor, how's a-bout a photo sou'venir for yer trip?" a deckhand said, holding a nice camera.
Harry was about to say 'no', when Draco said, "We would love one."
Harry looked up at Draco, blushing a little. Draco held him close as the photographer snapped a photo of them with the cliffs in the background. Draco took the card, and when they made port, he paid the clerk for the photo and a cheap paper frame from the cruise line. It was perfect. He turned to Harry and handed it to him. Harry looked at it, almost crying with happiness.
"It was a great first date, Harry," Draco whispered, holding him.
Harry kissed him, tears still at the ready to come out. "I-I could get used to this... courting process."
Draco smiled. "Well, love. It never really stops... even after marriage."
Harry giggled at the idea of marriage and blushed badly. He asked if Draco was ready to go home as the sun was starting to set, and they both had work that night.
"I am," Draco said, kissing him, again, as Harry pulled him into an alley and Apparated them back to London.
