______________
Hit: The Legendary Assassin, yearned for a fight just as any other martial artist would. And it was a rare occurrence when he met an opponent who could muster up more than just effort from him.
His drive had lost most of its touch. He wasn't lacking in action. Far from it. What he lacked was challenge.
His brain worked in overdrive, memorizing his opponents' attack patterns while increasing his strength and speed to match or even surpass to deal with the threat accordingly.
After so many fights, he stockpiled a wide variety of knowledge and power, even incorporating various fighting styles into his own.
He pushed himself beyond anything he would've thought possible. He had polished and sharpened his skills to perfection from one fight to the next. It made fights... hollow. Predictable.
The man before him was a rare case. His sheer skill and ingenuity made it feel like this would be a new fight. Paired with his natural aptitude as a fighter, Prince Vegeta was considered worthy of his attention.
Even so, Hit stood stoically at odds with Vegeta. Hands stuffed in his coat, seemingly without a care in the world.
Two parallels stood across from each other. The crowd beside silently watched, anticipation reaching its boiling point.
"GET ON WITH IT, YOU DIMWITS!!!" The two Gods of Destruction bellowed in unison, the both of them hunched forward, watching eagerly.
Hit eventually asked, "You ready?" Slowly raising his hands, unholstering them like twin revolvers. He spaced his arms from his torso with a small gap in between.
"Me?" Vegeta grinned and pointed his thumb at himself. "I should be asking you." He used that same hand to point at Hit.
Hit narrowed his eyes and focused his gaze on Vegeta's legs.
He waited just as the other did for the moment to strike.Hit saw Vegeta's leg flex with the smallest of movements and heard the slightest shift of dirth beneath him.
Holding his breath, then exhaling harshly, he brought his arm up just in time to block a powerful sidekick from Vegeta. Inhaling, he saw the plume of dust in the air and Vegeta standing in it. His smile remained and only grew wider at the sight of Hit's red eyes.
Hit used his size to his advantage. He demonstrated his superior reach as he charged forward once again. He wasn't surprised to see the Saiyan elbow block a left hook from himself.
Once again, the air was decorated with dust, Hit grunted as Vegeta gripped his outstretched arm and curled it over his shoulder. In response, Hit locked his legs in front of Vegeta's, halting their movement.
Vegeta adjusted. He bent his knee and twisted his body to give a powerful low kick to the side of Hit's knee. The impact alone was like a truck ramming into a tall and rooted boulder. With Hit's balance off just a smidge, Vegeta stood and took off in a full sprint before shooting back.
