THE TARDIS MATERIALIZED in front of her for Katie to drop the key out of her hands. She placed her hand across her eyes as the wind passed over her until the TARDIS landed itself in front of her building. The doors opened for the Doctor to show himself grinning already before even fully exiting the box. "My Hart!" She laughed at him bringing her into a tight embrace and hugged him back.
He placed her down cupping her face in his hands. "Good to see you still get excited to see me."
"I'm always excited to see you." Katie smiled over the comment as he kissed her forehead and linked arms with her. "C'mon, I'll introduce you to Clara."
Failing to mention at this moment she'd encountered her only a few moments ago she entered the familiar space of the console room to find the girl in question waving her hand up to greet her. Judging by the look on her face she was focusing on where she knew Katie from as the Doctor made the introductions. "Clara Oswald this is Katie Hart."
"The Doctor's told me about you, you're the photographer."
"Glad they always keep it simple," Katie said as she looked over to him.
Clara nodded. "There was some ghosts and the Doctor had to get handy with a camera. Afterwards he said it reminded him of you."
Katie smiled over the sentiment but didn't add to the flame and waved back to Clara. "It's nice to meet you and I'm terribly sorry for whatever mess he's gotten you into."
The Doctor lifted his head over the comment she made. "No mess, I'm an expert here."
Clara laughed over their comment but still focused on Katie. "I've seen you though, haven't I? You seem so familiar to me."
He lifted his head over the question she raised as Katie quickly waved it off. "I get that all the time, I guess I have one of those faces." She looked over to the Doctor locking eyes with him as she stepped over to the controls. "Didn't tell me where we were headed and I don't see a lot of flying from you."
"How long have you traveled with the Doctor?"
It seemed with every introduction that question followed her. As if it were so easy to track the days on a calendar in the time machine though Katie was certainly debating it now. "Debating if it's been long enough actually. He originally said one trip."
The Doctor lifted their head from the controls at the mention of this. "We're still on the one trip, just the long way around."
