And in the evening a call from a music audition company added extra to their happiness, confirming Swara clearing her audition. Music company wanted to record one song in her voice for their upcoming album. Recording was scheduled after three months.

It was late evening when Ragini came downstairs to overlook dinner preparations. She saw her step-mother in the kitchen feeding Aayush mashed dal-rice, whereas her grandmother also entered after her evening arati to give prasad to her beloved grand-daughter.

"Nirmala Kaki, why did you make so many less rotis for today? These many won't be enough for dinner." Ragini asked, looking at casserole.

"Arree Ragini Bahu, Sujata Bhabhisa said that today, they all are going out for dinner to a newly opened Rajasthani Restaurant. So, I prepared food accordingly." Nirmala answered carefully.

"Ohh" Ragini replied, scrunching her nose.

"Laddoo, I heard that Swara and Sanskar are going to America for 2 months? Is it true?" Parvati asked inquisitively. She could not suppress her envy in her tone as well as in her antics.

"Yes, Dadi Ma, I even heard about this when Chachiji was informing about their trip to Ma." Ragini replied, twitching her nose.

"You see, Sharmishtha, the daughter whom you used to keep on praising is going to leave you alone in this swamp and is going to a foreign country to enjoy with her husband." Parvati taunted. "It doesn't matter to her whether her parents live or die. She is only concerned with her own luxurious life. Such a selfish girl!" And Parvati went on with her daily dose of cursing Swara.

Three days later, Swara and Sanskar left for the US. After long 16 hours of journey the flight landed on John F. Kennedy International Airport. It was afternoon, when they came out after completing the immigration and collecting their baggage they stepped out.

Swara was following her husband, he stopped a moment stepping out of the door. He closed his eyes, breathing in the cold breeze and familiar aroma. His lips stretched in a peaceful smile. Swara could see enigmatical relief spread across his entire posture.

"Sanskar?" She shook him.

"Yes, let's go." He was excited.

"Welcome back sir." Mike, Sanskar's personal assistant came ahead welcoming them. "Welcome to New York, Mam."

"Swara, this is Mike, my assistant." Sanskar introduced.

"Hi" Swara shook her hand with white guy.

"Mike, please get the baggage and send it to the venue." Sanskar ordered.

"Sure Sir."

"Where is the car?" Sanskar asked, raising his hand for the key.

Mike took out the keys from pocket. He knew his boss's passion to drive cars on the busy roads of this city.

"Sanskar, you must be tired after the journey." Swara, puzzled looking at her husband, suddenly he had become spirited.

"That's fine."

"Is everything ready?" Sanskar asked to Mike, while walking towards the parking area of the airport.

"Yes Sir." Mike replied with a simple nod.

"Sanskar, our luggage?" Swara asked, when she saw her husband igniting his latest limited edition of Black Porsche SUV.

"Don't worry, Mike will make arrangements. Come on get inside." His exhilaration was radiating with his every word.

"What has happened? Why are you getting so excited? You are behaving like a teenage kid." Swara shook her head with a bright smile.

"I had been waiting for this moment for a long time." Sanskar geared the car to drive mode. "I hope you will like it." He mumbled his last statement inaudible to Swara.
