Chapter Thirty Five.

Start from the beginning

"Wow," he slipped out. He blinked rapidly, not knowing what to say.

Oliver became more serious. "How're you doing?" He asked him. He looked down and saw the cast.

When Demetri saw the anger start to reappear, his eyes went wide. "It's fine, Oliver. Don't worry about it. I don't care,"

"But I care," he emphasized while looking him in the eyes again. "Don't you get that? I've watched you get bullied by the douchebags for years and even then I hated it. But it's different now. I'm with you. I care about you. I'm not going to let them keep torturing you without getting their shit rocked."

Demetri went silent. His eyes scanned his bruised face. He wasn't kidding anymore. He was serious. Because when it came to the people he loved, Oliver was earnest. He was loyal. Demetri never had someone care about him like that before. "Okay." He responded softly. "Just. . . Don't don't get expelled, yeah? I need you here."

Oliver grew a smile. A flirty smile. "I got you, babe." He looked at his cast again and then the sharpies he had in the pocket of his shirt. "Can I have one of those markers?"

Demetri blinked. "Oh, um. . ." He reached in his shirt pocket and pulled out a red sharpie. He handed it out to him.

Oliver took the sharpie and grabbed Demetri's casted. He smirked as he wrote the words I love your big dick -Oliver on the cast. He looked at him with a shocked face but his eyes held all the love. Oliver smirked. "There. Much better."

Demetri said nothing and leaned forward, pressing his lips softly to his. Oliver smiled against his lips. His hand reached up and rested it on his side of his neck. "All though, I might need to see—"

"Shut up."

Hailey was all for practicing in the park until she realized how many bugs were around. She was swatting them out of her face with angry huffs. "Why do I listen to that man? Why does he have so much influence over me?"

"He's got that charm." Grayson answered with a nod of his head.

Johnny faced all of his students that showed up. "This is day one. We've been here before. But things are different now. They tried to tear us down. It didn't work! They said we needed a roof and four walls. Screw that! This park will be our new dojo."

"I don't know. I'm kind of missing four walls." Hailey said and swatted away another bug.

"Hush." He pointed at her. "Cause you don't need a dojo to be a dojo! Is that understood?"

"Yes, Sensei!" All the students shouted back.

"Good." He pointed at Miguel. "I started Cobra Kai with one nerd—" he cringed. "—And one student who ended up becoming the All Valley champ." He pointed to Odessa and she smiled. "This is a step up. And if we're gonna be taken seriously, we need a name that commands respect. A name that elicits power and dominance. Cobras are strong. They may be the king of the jungle, But the world's more than just a jungle. There's only one animal that can kill a snake."

"A mongoose?" Said Bert.

"A real animal, Bert."

He looked at Odessa with a confused look and she only shook her head.

Johnny pulled out a red T shirt from the box and showed it to them. "Welcome. . . to Eagle Fang Karate." He announced.

Odessa titled her bead, looking at it oddly. "Uh, eagles don't have fang—"

Johnny threw the shirt at Mitch, interrupting him. He started throwing the shirts out. "Put 'em on!"

Odessa threw the shirt over the pink tank top she was wearing. The first thing she noticed was how big it was on her.

"Anyone else feeling a little snug?" Said Mitch, who's she it was definitely too small on him.

"Do some more sit ups." Johnny quipped.

Odessa widened her eyes. "Sensei!"

"What?"

Odessa looked at Mitch and pointed to her shirt. "Wanna trade?"

"Yes, please."

They quickly swapped shirts and they'd fit them perfectly.

Once they were done, Johnny nodded. "All right. Everyone fall in!"

From over his shoulder, Miguel saw someone come out from behind the bushes. "Sensei, look."

They saw Hawk and two of his friends. Odessa smiled widely and walked out of line. When she got close enough to him, she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I knew it."

When she saw his face fall, Hailey narrowed her eyes.

Eli felt an immense amount of guilt as he wrapped his arms around her waist, knowing that he wasn't there for the right reasons. But it's been so long since he held her and he was afraid to let go."

"I was hoping you'd come." she whispered against his neck.

When she started to pull away, he quickly squeezed her. "Please don't let go yet." He begged, wanting to hold onto the feeling a little longer.

She grew confused but hugged him tighter. When she lifted her head, she saw Tory and Kyler walk out from behind the bush. Odessa let go of Hawk and took a step back. "What's going on?" She muttered.

"Please forgive me. Please." He pleaded.

Kreese walked out from behind the bush with more Cobra Kai students. Odessa took a few steps back and she realized. Shaking her head, she walked back to the lineup and Hailey grabbed her hand.

"I told you. Cobra Kai for life." Hawk sneered at Johnny, his attitude and demeanor doing a 180.

"I'm going to kill that little basted." Grayson muttered under his breath.

Kreese put his hand on Hawk's shoulder and walked up to Johnny. "Don't worry, Johnny. I'm not here for a fight." He said and took of his sunglasses.

"Yeah? Then why the hell are you here?" Johnny challenged.

"I'd like to make you another offer to come back to Cobra Kai where you belong."

"Yu're crazy if you think I'm ever teaming up with you again," Johnny spat. "The garbage you're feeding them, the shit they're pulling, it's messed up. You're to blame for that."

"I have to disagree with you there," Kreess denied. "I care about my students. They're strong and they're true fighters. And they wouldn't make the mistake of showing mercy and ending up in a coma!"

"Miguel's a good person." Odessa snapped but Miguel shook his head at her, telling her he could handle it.  He stepped forward and stood beside Johnny and Hawk stepping forward beside Kreese, almost getting in the boy's face.

Kreese held his hand out. "This is it, Johnny. There's not gonna be another chance." He said again.

They watched carefully as Johnny's face darkened.  "Good." Was all he said.

"You made your choice. And you are going to regret it."  Kreess pointed in his face. He put his sunglasses back on walked off, the Cobra Kais following him.

Odessa stared at the back of Hawk's head and once again, she felt betrayed.
